Oh Umbero D. I watched it in film class and after the film was done the prof turns on the lights and a bunch of too cool 20 year olds are quickly trying to mop up their faces. So beautiful but so tragic that film.

I’ll always remember Molly from the first movie I ever saw her in, which was Tempest. My dad is Greek and most of the filming was in Greece. I’m only a couple years younger than her, but I can’t imagine the pressure of your first film being a John Cassavetes film, being surrounded by heavyweight talents. From the way she talks about it, it sounds like it was a good experience.

They didn't have the rights for either at the time it was put together. The great disappointment of that set is the alternative original version of Shadows that Ray Carney unearthed prior to the set being put together not being included.

'The Blue Angel' was incredible. I also liked 'The Shanghai Express'. Two films from that Dietrich/Josef von Sternberg connection. Enjoy. 'A Face in the Crowd' great film. Godard 'Band of Outsiders' always love to find and play the Cafe Jazz little dance scene. Fellini collection oh yeah I'm on every amusement park ride there. Cassavetes 'Gloria' and 'The Killing of an American Bookie', 'Husbands' the chemistry with Peter Falk and Ben Gazzara I wanted to be hanging out with those guys getting drunk all night. Lubitsch the musicals with Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald ... 'If I could spend one hour with you. I'm tired of this hullabaloo'. Pass me the popcorn.
