What does Critical Mass mean

The point at which any accumulation becomes explosive. It's also a term used by urban cyclists - it's the name of a mass accumulation of bike riders that happens on the last day of each month to raise awareness for bike riders in the city - a monthly bicycle demonstration. The accumulation of riders gets so big that it usually slows down traffic, reminding motorist that bikes are here, they're a pollution-free form of transportation, and they're on the road.
