The popular conception of mind uploading is that a machine scans your brain and makes a copy of it. The problem with this framework is the philosophical zombie paradox: can a machine containing a person's mind be considered a person? The only way to beat this paradox is with another one: the Cybernetic Ship of Theseus. Here, bits of your body are gradually replaced with bionic components, allowing for not only a continuity of both consciousness and personhood, but also allowing your body to adjust to the new changes.

So, will both of the ships or bodies be considered original in this way?
@zhaoli46083 жыл бұрын
Yes, if an incremental change is chosen, rather than an abrupt one. Otherwise, there will be no perceived continuity of the ship, or in the cyborg's case, the body.

Aaand we are past any scifi that im aware of. On second thought i just remembered dr. Who. I think the ability to casually go through time and space is above even stargate. Also i just read your comment from type i about how liking and commenting boosts the algorithm...so i liked them all. Too bad i dont have any social media outside youtube other wise i would share.

Seriously wish immortality was a thing and accessible
@CriticallySelected3 жыл бұрын
Me too! Although I wouldn't choose it because of the whole living forever and potentially going crazy and so on.

There are plenty of books/shows/anime that depict immortality as a damned existence.
@vinsmoke-d-sanji95753 жыл бұрын
@@spencervance8484 and honestly I could never understand why everyone that has immortality in a TV show or movie they always yern for death and I can't understand.... for example Kane from the Lucifer series says he wants to die because life is boring he has done everything, I'm like what? Have u been to space? Been on another planet and explored etc

@@CriticallySelected lol naa I don't think you'll go crazy knowing that humanity can reach these levels thats enough for anyone to look forward to especially if your a nerd and would love to witness such a transformation and to also be apart of that

@@vinsmoke-d-sanji9575 I see what you mean. Yeah, to see the progress of our civilization, I would welcome immortality. I fee like in TV shows and movies, the characters just want to cling to the past which makes them depressed and not want to live anymore. But if everyone was immortal, I can see how that would be pretty cool!

High type doesn't need to transport they can reach any ware without going there though not needed spaceships or themselves to be machine but need more network it means network being not physical beating but psychology net work being(just like spiritual like being. Your video doesn't echoes that being but still feeling machine being or physical being seeing needed transportation to go place to place that is low level of civilization
