What If Cody Rhodes Returns to WWE in 2022? Cody Rhodes is coming back. This is a timeline of how WWE can book him in his return.
It’s been practically confirmed that Cody Rhodes is returning to WWE. He reportedly signed a contract a couple weeks ago and was even scheduled to show up on the Monday Night RAW episode in Jacksonville, Florida. That was before Scott Hall unfortunately passed away. A big return didn’t seem like the right call anymore.
WWE didn’t want to take attention away from the legend. With that being said, it’s inevitable that Cody Rhodes is coming back. And so, the What If series returns. We’re going to look at a timeline where he comes back and I’m going to show you how WWE should basically book his first year back. I will admit, it might be a little crazy, but I think WWE has something really special with Cody Rhodes. Anyways, let’s get right into the video.

I told my dad about Cody could possibly return to WWE, and he said he doesn't care because he doesn't like cody. This is definitely because of WWE , coz in early 2010s, Cody was booked poorly but his true potential was shown in AEW. Roman vs Cody would be an absolute banger if that happens. But I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a different way to how Vince is booking him just like in the 2010’s as he’s gonna be kidding up to him as a heel to be dragged under the water instead of soaring like an eagle. This is pretty interesting, but instead I wanted to see if other talents like gable Stevenson, drew McIntyre or sheamus comes in after he’s MITB win cashing in and winning the Universal championship that would really be a major swerve.

I'd disagree. You'd need to immediately establish him as a top player when he's at his hottest, which will be at his debut, especially if he beats Rollins at Mania. Cody wouldn't agree to a contract thst places him in the midcard where he was 6 years ago after his progress. He doesn't have to win a world title in his first year but would def need to be in the title before then so that WWE can have a new top guy that can carry top feuds- therefore make the brand more money

Love the story and the long term booking but I am fairly certain that if Sami won the world title it would be a Dolph Ziggler moment. He would be the biggest Babyface in the company regardless of his character. Idk I think in modern wrestling some people get to a point where they are too good at what they do to be bad. Since Cody debut his American Nightmare gimmick on the indies/aew, I have never liked him being on the indies. As a matter of fact, I've always thought that Cody is WWE bound. With that being said, I have a few list of people both from WWE and AEW that supposed to be on either company or not supposed to be.
