honestly, brands needs to stop coming out with lip oils. They are getting way too much! every single brand is coming out with a lip oil. They need to cool down!! the thing is, if I saw more lip oils that weren’t the same formula on every one, I would be okay with seeing more lip oils. But it’s the same shade and formula every time.

I agree with a lot of what you said, as someone who works at Sephora. Not enough deeper shades, too many lip products. Putting up the shelves for those little ass boxes are really annoying. I'm an ELF girlie at heart so I'm sad that the blush shade Spicy is no longer available. Its a great deep terracotta blush for olive skin tones and melanin rich skin

Thanks for sharing your experience from a Sephora employee! I think makeup is becoming similar to the patterns of fast fashion. I also use to love the e.l.f blush, I’m wondering if there is a new similar shade. 🤔

whats the point of a bronzer for dark skin? genuinely curious... dark girls don't go tanning to get darker so why would they apply a product to make them darker? obviously contour makes sense but i don't see how bronzer would do anything, they can get a "sun kissed glow" from a gold tone highlighter.

@@barbrothers2 POC do tan lol that's why we have a summer and winter shade. IDK if you follow dark-skin influencers and make-up artists, but they usually comment on how they could get away with using certain makeup shades in the winter but not in summer.

@@barbrothers2a lot of us actually do tan and especially for golden/olive undertones you can see when we lose that color. I usually keep one gold toned and one rosy toned bronzer depending on how much tanned I want to look. I’ll even use a self tanner on my body because I far prefer my summer shade over my winter shade

Depending on your skin tone, I like the shade Spritz! I don’t find it to be as patchy or hard to apply as everyone shares- but I think it depends on the color you choose. It looks really nice with minimal makeup, but if I have a thicker foundation/full glam I find it doesn’t look as nice. Hopefully this helps 😅

sol de janeiro suncate line has the ‘rio radiance’ scent (one of their body mists) and it’s such a good summer scent that I think that was pretty smart of them to release. They also don’t have a body cream of that scent anymore ( was limited edition ) so an spf body lotion was a great idea. Personally I love sol de janeiro cus I can’t afford real perfumed

I picked up elf’s catching rays bronzer, it’s really nice. Looks like it has a yellow undertone in the pan but it’s nice and neutral on my skin tone which I’m considered light to medium but closer to the medium side

I didn’t even know the haus labs blush was new but I watched it at Sephora yesterday and I loved it! The pigment was amazing. I’ve also seen the NYX bronzer swatches and they seem kind of patchy 😕

someone probably already said this but do not get the gisou lipoil😭. it is so sticky on the lips and drys in less than 10 mins. also, the origanal color leaves ur lips yellow..😭 (as someone with a suuuper light skintone) it also literally feels like putting oil on your lips and it may just be my preference but i think gloss oil hybrids that lean more to lip glosses tend to be better

hiiii i got the gisou lip oil yesterday (the darker pink one) and i really like it! it smells good (unlike the yellow one which gave olive oil) and it looks pretty on tanner complexions

Gisou lip oil thoughts: The packaging is unique, the formula is a mix of glossy and oily so keep that in mind but is not sticky at all! But every single brands lip oil is the EXACT SAME SHADE, and every single brand has a lip oil which is pretty much the same but since gisou is so aesthetically pleasing and stands out from the crowd I think it is worth purchasing and since the spring sale is coming up I would say you should!

Honestly, a lotttt of people think they’re warm toned because their foundation shade leans warm, but you very well could be cool toned. In fact, a lot of SEAsians tend to be cool toned

I lean more neutral/warm which allows cool tones to work on me to an extent. But I can confidently say I’m not a cool undertone. 😆 I’ve tried, and it makes me look very pale. Lol
