I used your techniques on cold calls for 6 hours and I got 5 appointments. But what is even more impressing than the result is that I was still excited and be able to do more of these calls. Usually I get annoyed by cold calling, but this is a very good and fun way to communicate and benefits both parties. Thank you for sharing!

I'm not a salesman, but had to start coldcalling for my freelancing business. The difference before and after using Ben's technique is like night and day. There's bits where I'm downright glad I picked up the phone and made those connections.

That was a great call Benjamin. Most people think that is a bad call because there was no appointment...that was tremendous. Not attached to the outcome, I bet you get that appointment in 6 months.

Would be great to see a follow up call and how you approach a prospect with the information that you gathered

Why not send a carefully crafted email to advance your status ever farther in his eyes? I'm guessing he hung up & felt good about you. You know he will think about you later. Why not give him some additional reason to believe that he needs you/your services?

I have a question, have you ever tried the "this is a cold call, would you like to hang up?" to a gate keeper if you don't have the name of the decision maker?

No.

With LinkedIn you should be able to find who your dm is. And if not, I would go for the person that looks like the dm. Because if its not them there's still a chance they will tell you who it is if you ask.
