This is so helpful to new photographers that make these mistakes. I've seen so much blown out light and bright work lately and I think, they are obvi a shoot a burn photographer because that would not make a good print. Lately I've been feeling that senior photography is a race to the bottom regarding prices and time spent on each senior client. I've been focusing on my niche which is model portfolio photography because there are less photographers competing in that space and I'm more than qualified for this niche. And I think branding photography for businesses is a less crowded space and pays better for time spent.

Yes would love to see a session as you do them now! This was super helpful for me to see as I am just getting started with my own senior portrait business and helps me to know what to watch for so I can get better images! Thank you for this video!

Thanks so much for watching, Tracy! So glad you found it helpful! I have a handful of more recent videos on my channel where you can actually watch me at a REAL shoot if you'd like to see more recent work :) Appreciate you being here!

Im going to take my step son's senior pictures in two weeks. I have NEVER done anything like this before. Thank you for your tips.

Have you ever thought about trying to re-editing any of your old photos to see what you would do differently now? Just a random thought.

Virginia photog here, where is that garden you did Abby’s session at?
