Are you able to edit shaders after purchase? Like lets say there isn't a customization for something that I want, I'm able to go in and change things myself?

Hi, yes! It is designed to be easy to modify. Individual shader functionalities are also packed in modular sub-shaders so you can just drag them and build your own implementations pretty quickly. You can also take the demo shaders shown in this video and just start building on top of them or modify them🙂

Thinking of getting your asset, I’m just wondering what day and night cycle are you using? Is it custom or an asset in the store? And at night when the lights have that nice effect, is that due to your asset or the shader?

Hey, I'm not using any day night cycle. I just changed sun angle and light a little bit. That nice effect is due to the shaders which are included in the asset. The asset contains everything you see in this video so you can achieve the same night effect by just modifying the sun angle and light a little.

I feel like the shadows of the clouds are too smooth. I would make them move on 2s, or on 3s, just to make them feel more "animated".

Hey, thanks for the comment🙂 There is a setting that determines the number of different "shadow levels" there can be. It is super easy to adjust based on the art style you are looking for. We just went with 8 (if I remember correctly) for demonstration purposes. Is this what you were referring to?

@@JobeYT Thanks for answering! I was referring to the movement, not the levels of shadows. As of now, it looks like the shadow moves every single frame, which is very smooth, and while it looks great where there is grass, on the dirt it looks too smooth for the artstyle. I would change it, so that it moves every 2 or 3 frames. I'm going to guess that you use time as a variable to move the shadow effect, if that is the case, then I would use a modulo operation on the time variable, with a low value, like 0.1, so that it would move every few frame, instead of every frame. But that's just a suggestion, if smooth shadows is the style you wanted to go for, feel free to ignore it!

@@TheMorinaiz It's a great suggestion and something I have thought about as well. It would look really cool if the grass, cloud shadows, tree leaves, and water were all synced up with the same animation tick-rate by doing the modulo operation on time. This is quite easy to do and will definitely be implemented at some point in our assets🙂 Thanks for the suggestion!

This looks lowpoly, not pixel art. But still, amazing work.

I would like to ask why the shader in the previous video still had a white border when it was sold, but the stone in this video does not have a white pixel border. Also, if I want to buy the resources of this video, do I need to buy another pixel camera? (Because I like the last scene in another video. There are not only pixelated water but also pixelated stone white borders)

Hello! With this asset there comes precisely one-pixel thick outlines. You can freely determine what color you want the outlines to be. In this video I just set it to be darker whereas in the previous video it was white. If you have the Critter 3D Pixel Camera, then it will always work with all of our assets. It is designed to be modular so you don't have to worry about it. TL;DR: you can choose what color borders you want. Our pixel camera asset simply pixelates stuff nicely and is not responsible for drawing the outlines so it will work.
