Fun fact: In the German version, Critters 2 didn't only get subtitles for the Critters, but were fully dubbed and broke the 4th wall a couple of times. It's still one of my favourite movies.

Oh yeah, for the gooby episode previously, I'd recommend making the movie completely straight as a kids movie, but as like a good movie, with the ending being straight horror as it's revealed that the gooby is a curse that allows the current goob to turn into a perfect copy of the original neglectful dad, when the dad says it isn't fair, the current goob says "How do you think I felt when it happened to me, at least it allows us to become good dads, even if we aren't going to see our original kid ever again." and then the movie just ends with the new goob looking for a new child. I haven't slept in 48 hours.

The kid doesnt tell his dad the name of the creature until the end, and we get a flashback to the dad's childhood and he had the same friend that was actually driving a lifelong wedge between him and his dad. The child leaves his dad forever with "Gooby was right about you." As he and mom drive away and the dad's flashbacks intercut with his child's events play while goes, "No... it cant... No... NOOOO!!!! GOOOOOOOBBBBYYYYY" THE BOY FROM THE FIRST MOVIE IS PROBABLY THE RIGHT AGE NOW.

My recommendation for a future episode is The Hidden. It’s one of my favorite movies, and it’s seriously underrated. The movie starts with a bank robbery, a heavy metal car chase, and a Ferrari exploding in a hail of gunfire, and it just keeps going from there.

I watched critters 1-4 in one day just so my context-loving ears could hear brebdan and dilly's soothing tones talk about something new. (Honestly I was going to only watch two today but I got sucked in the critter-hole)

Critters 4 is like Critters left to soak in milk. Aka, the Critters weren't crispy anymore. Also, speaking of water in the ears (I fucking hate it when that happens), IIRC Mandy had a water-in-ears incident that left him half-deaf for a couple of weeks, leading to some interesting interactions in a very empty Chinese restaurant.

I like "SPACEMAN", I'll say it's art. Just like any other Adam Sandler movie they're all art. Like in that's my boy, when he fucks his teacher and trying his best to get along with his grown up son and not leech off him.
