Glad you mentioned the dead zone. How so many other reviewers don't even mention it at all is crazy. I returned mine straight away and got another one. Had the exact same dead zone. Hopefully the new one they've got coming out with hall effect sticks doesn't have the same issue.

Yeah, this instantly makes it a casual controller for those who have no idea what a dead zone is. Honestly surprised it's so large :O But to their credit, they did try to address it with an update which reduces it but it's not enough IMO!

I bought the purple Gamecube version for my daughter and tried it. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I preordered the Nitro Deck + though as my main issue with the OG version is I have large hands and I had trouble with the right stick and couldn't play with it docked. I don't want to have to take the Switch out every time I want to hook it up to the TV. I do mostly play handheld though while I sit in bed at night to unwind.

What a coincidence, I just today bought Princess Peach Showtime and started playing it on Nintendo Switch and you've showed it's Gameplay on this really awesome and fun video defienitily with the Start of the Video was so fun. I've been interested of CRKD Nitro Deck since it's First Reveal in the SummerGameFest 2023, but for now i'm more excited for just revealved upcoming Nitro Deck Plus, can't wait for those, but maybe I should buy and try a normal Nitro Deck first, defienitily i like the Retro Purple Colored Nitro Deck. I have a Joycoj Drifts on my Joycon controllers so I really need Nitro Deck. That video was so good and truly helpful thank you so much It Came From a Box! 🌏🌍🌎🌃🌅🚢✈️📦🎮😮

My biggest complaint with them is the comfort. While they have more to grip onto on the back than joy-cons, I still found it to be not enough. That plus the positioning of the right thumb stick means I still get hand cramps just as frequently as with joy-cons.

Yeah, they need much more curvaceousness! Those curves really help with the in-hand feel!

Just got the original on sale and I'm undecided. I like the dpad a lot and the ABXY buttons are nice. Right thumbstick is a little awkward, but my biggest worry is removing and scratching the back of my Zelda OLED switch. Taking it out is awful. So not sure if I will keep it. The Satisfye grip is honestly way better for ergonomics, and I have a joy con where I swapped a d-pad shell. If crkd even put some silicone runners on the back, like the satisfye products, that would prevent scratching.

it's definitely risky! i haven't experienced any scratches but I know some have so it's not work risking it. If you go with it, i'd look into maybe some film or paper that you can sandwich in-between! But compared, the satisfye is my go-to for the best grips out there! if you want a new controller for handheld mode, this one is a current favorite BUT we just got the new one so will be posting about that asap!

I'd like this but my biggest concern with my Switch is scratching the Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee decals on the back of the tablet.

Great controller I always wonder about the nitro deck but idk for me the no docking abilities really heald it back for me also it won't fit in most cases and not as easy to use as a second controller. It seems great but the value of it is kinda low

Some switch games support analog triggers it's not a lot but some do like grid Auto sport

Honestly, I wouldn’t consider them collectibles, they are very nice for what they are but I only got one nitro deckhand. Maybe I’ll get a second one but that’s a big maybe, it’s not bad it’s very good as far as I can tell, but I wouldn’t get a second one I would get the joy sticks that are sold separately to improve the range, But I have to admit the + version interests me , and I might get

Yeah, they were going for something that I don't think worked out. Accessories are a very small niche for collectibles :O

@@itcamefromabox and if we’re being fair wildly plus version does addressed the joystick positioning issue. It makes you feel like a steam deck and we don’t know if they did the same thing Genki did with their portable mini switch docks. Who knows it might accidentally brick a switch.

I tested both of those out but for some reason all the switch consoles I tested with have either a dead zone issue or a latency issue. The weirder part is that if you test the analog stick in the switch's settings, it doesn't show that delay 🤔

@@itcamefromabox that is very interesting! Have you also experienced this issue with multiple nitro decks or just the one that you own? If this is a problem on most or all decks I am disappointed to hear.

@SAMU039 I own two but they work correctly! I tested them in settings and there's very little delay and a short deadzone. BUT once in a game, the deadzone increases AND it's the same situation for other controllers. Currently testing to figure out whats going on 🤔

Yes, it did. I mistook it for a large dead zone but after the update it was reduced. It's most likely a Bluetooth issue or something with the switch because on the app the neo s doesn't have any delay at all 🤔

Both versions are a no for me sadly they fixed my only 2 issues of the original by adding hdmi compatibility and making it easier to remove without scratching...but then ruined it with top symmetrical sticks so it's a deal breaker...so close to a great product
