Man, just wanted to finally order this and I see you're not taking orders currently - which is awesome for you that you have that much business! Looking forward to orders opening up again!

MAN YOU MAKE AMAZING KYDEX!!!! I WENT TO YOUR SITE AND IT SAYS YOUR NOT TAKING NEW ORDERS?? THAT SUCKS BUT I UNDERSTAND, YOU MAKE GREAT SHEATHS AND EVERYONE WANT YOUR WORK. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK

I'm more of a fixed blade knife guy (eg. CRKT M16 FX13 style) especially since my stroke 5 years ago. But I was really excited to see that you had created an "Auto Deploy" style sheath for this particular knife. I might even look into getting this folder and this style sheath because of this video. :)

And I'm digging the coyote color you have here

Awsome work, I was hoping to see a demo pulling it out of the waist, and pocket because big guys have muffin tops lol i would have to attach to jeans pockets.. Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend the IWB design if you've got a big muffin top. It would probably be more comfortable, and you could absolutely wear it in the pocket instead of the waistband.

Dude that is killer. I have been carrying the m16 14sfg for about 8 years they are such a rugged knife I use them at work cutting roots and and occasional small limb with ornamental trees and I love it. In fact I’m on my second one and not due to failure but I lost my first one and went to buy the exact same one. I found out about the thumb stud opening trick a few years ago from watching the Emerson wave design. What do these sheaths run and is there a store?

If you make one of these again I’d love to know. I don’t care about colors at all.

I recently got this knife and would love this sheath how do I purchase one? Possibly OD green? Could I easily convert it to mount to MOLLE?
@BlackBearCustomKydex4 жыл бұрын
I'll be adding some to my website store sometime in the coming month. I'll do a few with some OD green 👊🏻. The Tek-Lok is capable of connecting to molle webbing. It's not my favorite option for molle, but does work. The drill hole spacing is compatible with a single molle-lok, which would work as long as you use a long enough molle-lok to go through 2 or 3 rows of webbing. For converting to a pair molle-loks, you'd need a plate, which I can custom fit to your sheath if/when you purchase one. Feel free to call me when you buy and I can get you squared away with a kit that has a plate and molle-loks.

@@BlackBearCustomKydex Thanks man. I grew up in York Me but I am now trapped behind the iron curtain of NY lol

Maybe it would be possible to make a retention holster with that mechanism or something similar?

Dan Dildarious I'm building one right now actually! Stay tuned for that video in a week or so!

This looks amazing. I just picked this knife up. How much do you charge to make one of these? Are there other attachment options? Thanks for your time.
@BlackBearCustomKydex5 жыл бұрын
Current price is $80, shipped. I can do it on a Tek-Lok, combat loop, molles, or if you're interested in a different design, I offer inside the waistband options as well ($60)

@@BlackBearCustomKydex Great. I'm going to look into Tek-Lok, I hadn't heard of it before (maybe I live under a rock). I'm considering carrying owb hiking or other outdoor stuff but also have the versatility to put it on a wilder tactical belt. Thanks for answering so quickly! And wow, your stuff looks amazing, functionally and aesthetically.
@BlackBearCustomKydex5 жыл бұрын
@@WildMountainGarage I would definitely go with a Tek-Lok if you'll be mounting on a tactical belt

the Merlin thing that CRKT made in like 2004 is just ridiculous, they shouldve gotten you to design something like this for them

@@jackson_craft_gamingscates9324 unfortunately for myself, I didn't begin crafting Kydex sheaths until 2017.

I just picked up a CRKT M16-04kS. Can you do an auto sheath for this model? The flipper is too side only
@BlackBearCustomKydex5 жыл бұрын
I believe I can do that one using the other m16 models that I own already. The only thing is, if the pocket clip is near the axis end of the knife, you'll have to remove it. They have different pocket clips, so the sheath has to be made without the clip

Wow dude, super cool technic. Would you please make a turorial for that, would be awesome!! I‘m from Germany, so... PLEASE!!
@themaninthesuit7723 жыл бұрын
There is a cheaper way to do that. It is to flit the clip to a tip up carry and catch it on your pants and there you go
