It's simple, Parris and Harley founded the band, they both stated that JJ was never a founding member. Then Parris left, reunited w/ Harley for 3 years and recorded Revenge, then left again. There's no problem with JJ and Mackie playing the Age of Quarrel album at shows. That being said, Harley rightfully deserves the rights to the Cro-Mags name.

My take for whatever it's worth, clearly Harley and Paris wrote the Cro-Mags record we all love. Clearly Jon Joesph is a great frontman, the one everyone wants to see. I highly doubt the JM outfit will ever write a new song. Best wishes was great, and I think Harleys new stuff is great too. I get his perspective, his singer wanted to hijack the whole operation. I wish everyone involved peace and prosperity.

These dudes have a lot of history together and a lot of deep rooted issues between each other. But that is their business and between them. I wish them both the best. I met both of them in 1984-85 on the LES and became more friendly with JJ over the last 30+ years but always had respect for Harley And always said what’s up to him if I seen him someplace. I have not seen Either one of these dude since the drama at Webster Hall. I seen the Cro-Mags Countless times In NYC in the 80’s and 90’s. So many great shows!!. Rock Hotel, CB’s Lamour etc etc. Besides for the Bad Brains nobody brought it like the Cro-Mags did! PERIOD! They always killed it live! Best Wishes to the end of the Age Of Quarrel!
