I actually watched this entire trial before my first trial because Juan is both a piece of shit and also very good with making and dealing with objections. So I figured if I could mentally prepare for that, I'd be okay in court.

Travis was younger than his years in terms of sexual experience. His non-Mormon friends would have been way ahead of him. I think Jodi was alluring to him at first. But I do not think he was a sex fiend who threw her away when he got tired of her. I think he came to feel sorry for her-and maybe a little guilty-thus the housecleaning job and the sale of the BMW to her, which she promptly destroyed. I think as his time was winding down, he felt trapped to say the least, and he sent out warning signals. But what was anyone to do with Jodi 1000 miles away? From that distance maybe the problem would solve itself. She couldn't be around all the time anymore, invading his space and denying him any privacy. The text of his message of May 26 screams despair, hopelessness, anger and betrayal. She has driven him to the end of his considerably long rope. It is not indicative of a nasty, violent man man with a short fuse and a foul mouth who has trashed her all along. You are right, she caused him untold misery. She gave him just enough time to start breathing a little easier, and then showed up, unannounced and unexpected. Travis was the one who experienced "mortal terror" that day, not Jodi.

In that text message of May 26th he says she scammed him, etc. I believe she set him up with that sex tape, one reason she held onto it. You could tell she was leading him all through that chat on tape. I think she attempted to blackmail him with it. I also believe that Cancun trip he was going to with another woman also set her in motion for the kill. He was done with her and she wasn't having that.

I don't know if we'll ever learn what the final straw was. I've always thought it had to be more than the the tape, but maybe not, depending on who she threatened to play it for. I have never felt the Cancun trip was as much of a factor as most other people do. I'm sure it was on her list of perceived "betrayals," and the timing of the murder (one week before he was to leave) easily leads to that conclusion. I think it was only one item on a long list. I could be wrong, though.

She was asked about the validity of her claim that Travis was a p-word, and Juan showed her texts from after the supposed event where she saw him masturbating to images. The texts show a normal conversation about her and Travis trading cars. Then Juan said "You guys were talking about pedestrian issues, nothing about Travis masturbating to images" and Jodi replied "The cars weren't a pedestrian issue to Travis." The fact that she diverted the subject onto that shows her claim about him is false, because she can't answer the question directly, so she has to distract with other things.

Some of Travis's friends reported that they saw her when Travis opened a door. She was listening to their convos secretly and she had an absolute horrific look on her face. Her gaze was so scary they literally feared for their life and couldnt sleep at all that night. Can you imagine being haunted by a gaze ? It means it was so so so terrifying and I cant imagine how scary she looked like.

I LOVE THIS PART!! And then, he SLAMS HER with the text messages between Travis and her that day that prove there was NO WAY things happened the way she said they did. The Prosecutor gave Jodi every opportunity to save herself the embarrassment of being a total LIAR to the jury, but her narcissistic ass thought she had the upper hand in the courtroom today.
