What a wholesome person, I hope he's doing well. As a bulgarian who's travelled in the region a bit, I definitely think that Croatia is one of the best places and if I knew the language I'd probably immigrate there. One thing I've noticed with the Serbs, they live a lot messier than others in the Balkans. For instance, the Macedonians, Slovenians, Bulgarians, Albanians and Croats are really "clean" while the serbs live in what we would call a "mess". I wonder if this has something to do with DNA...

Ukraine and Croatia have a lot of similarities in their respective wars: both countries fight/fought because of Russian/Serbian expansionism. Both have/had rebel regions: Donbas/Crimea and Serbian Krajina/Slavonia. In both russian and serbian propaganda ukrainians and croats are portrayed as ustashas and banderites. Both wars experience martyr cities, like Mariupol and Vukovar. The differences are of course the much greater scale of Ukraine war, the fact that Russia is more powerful than Serbia, it has more resources, weapons, and has nukes, but this is balanced by the support of the West to Ukraine that Croatia didn’t receive. I hope things could turn positive for Ukraine as it happened for Croatia.

We actually had a weapons embargo from the west, dissarmed teritorial defence and a country placed in "mid" of Croatia from which JNA attacked (Bosna i Hercegovina) and just to top it all there was just 4 milion Croats at the time and Croatia geography separates main population centers from each other and in between there was a Serb populated area, we had no chances but still we won .

@@stipe3124 you’re right. There was a weapons embargo against your country, which is even worse. You’re also right about your demography: only 4 million people. But also Serbian demography was not so high: around 7/8 million, about twice Croatian population. In this case we have Ukraine with 30/40 million people and Russia with 140/150 million people, so the ratio is different and more favorable to Russia than in Serbian case, and manpower matters of course. So that’s why we needed to compensate this by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Anyway, yes: there was also Bosnia Erzegovina in the mid of the war, which made things even more difficult. And that’s why I admire you a lot: you won the war despite all those obstacles. And this gives me hope that Ukraine could do the same.

@@fabrinotturno6831 Ukraine will win and survive only question is will it be a complete victory or something will be lost, maybe some BIH situation with some sort of "Republika Ruska"on Crimea or Donbas but part of Ukraine, only thing that must not happen is accepting almost all current Russian anexations because that's worst kind of victory in a sense that Russia is stopped but Ukraine lost alot. Btw Vukovar and Mariupol both held under siege for 86-87 days against all odds. Also in Croatia if you look where Dubrovnik is placed it is a miracle we won there, at certain point Croatia was cut in half between inland and Dalmatia, there was no open roads from Split to Zagreb, it is a miracle we survived as a country.

I thought exactly what you have written: Differently from Croatia, I don’t think Ukraine could do an « Operation Storm 2.0 » to completely destroy separatist entities as you did with Serbijan Krajina, because Russia could react very very harshly! Serbia couldn’t do anything and was forced to accept that situation. On the other hand Russia could seriously consider the use of nuclear weapons. Crimea in particular is a red line: even Navalny supported its annexation, so it’s an highly symbolical region in Russian folklore. I thought about something like the model of Srpska Republic in Bosnia Erzegovina for Donbas and Crimea: a pro-Russian « sub-state », which is internationally recognized as Ukrainian territory though, over which Russia can still continue to have some kind of influence, as Serbia keeps doing with Srpska Republic nowdays with Milorad Dodik. What matters is the territorial integrity of Ukraine, otherwise, if we can accept Russia doing land-grabbing, then this could cause a chain reaction for which other countries in the world could start thinking it’s legit doing the same. I think about China with Taiwan, North Korea with South Korea and so on. Plus, it could convince even more Russia it can repeat this pattern again and again, maybe with Ukraine once again, or with Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, etc… which are other states that got threatened by Russian propaganda. I also agree about the comparison of Vukovar and Mariupol and about Dubrovnik.

as a veteran of the war in Croatia, I sincerely hope that Croatia will not be an example for you, Ukrainian fighters. after the war and our victory, we had to give forgiveness to all Serbian fighters, rebuild their houses, give them pensions, include them in the government, forgive them for the crimes that they committed... after the war, and because of disappointment in Croatian politicians, more than 3,500 war veterans committed suicide in Croatia.

My Croat, I'm a Slav from Osijek, I've been through the worst of the bombings after the fall of Vukovar, that they accept us children of the war from the Yugoslav war without war experience, we were schoolchildren from the age of 8 when the war started in the 90s, I know how to handle weapons, I've served my military service, but I have no war experience unfortunately, if there is a unit, I would be happy to come and help, although Croatia is also preparing for something, we all received invitations for 2 weeks of recall training and mobilization reserve, if I can go, I'm here, let someone contact me or I'll come to Kiev myself

Putin never said anything about Croats - indeed Russia was a main sponsor of Croatian independence in 1991 and a major weapons supplier. There are very few Croats as volunteers in Ukraine.

Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. Please read the whole text. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is. Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:1 , Romans 3:23 , Romans 5:12 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10 , Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, John 3:16 KJV, Leviticus 17:11 , Ephesians 1:7 , Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .
