This game should have gotten more recognition, it's one of my childhood games and too many people haven't even heard of it. Which is a shame because for its time, it was a really fun game to play. Loving the soundtrack, thanks so much for uploading these! :)

You’re correct, Croc’s underrated in terms of its contribution to video game history. It was the first true free-roaming 3D platformer, which Argonaut developed as a Yoshi game for Nintendo. Nintendo said they hated it, sacked Argonaut, and then poached Argonauts code and best developers to develop Mario ’64… pretty brutal. But this is why Mario ’64 has such acclaim and Croc is comparatively forgotten. Nintendo released first, and Argonaut were screwed over and had to re-imagine Yoshi as ‘Croc’ and publish independently of Nintendo.

I remember going to London in the 1990s and someone wearing a big Croc costume was walking about promoting the game, I wonder if the costume still exists, I think I have some video camera footage somewhere. Good times

i’m a bit older here (38). i remember the good “ingenuity” of the character, and all of the exclamations of Croc. the backpack as cameo to Lara Croft that was a great hit just at most 2 years before. this soundtrack gave the game its...flavour. games like this made “playstation world” no miss the Mario/platform games. i never finished it thou. fortunately i still have a psx working and original copy... maybe .... ahahah

14:07 (ha, ironic that the song actually starts at 14.08 which is the same number as the creepy Stephen King story) is my favourite. It pops into my head a lot. It's really spooky and the tune is so simple & catchy! Very B movie sci-fi/schlock horror. I think I'll have to find an mp3 or record it on a voicenote to use it as my ringtone. 😃Would've been super eerie for Halloween!

I had no consoles during my childhood, only a PC, so basically this was my Super Mario 64. :) And as it turns out, that wasn't far from the truth since Argonaut Software was trying make a Yoshi game, just didn't get the green light from Nintendo :( Can you image if Croc would have preceded Mario as the first 3D platformer? I'd love to live in that parallel universe :3
