Very intriguing and informative video. That being said, I have a question for the maker of this video (New England Reptile ).Here is my question: Would a fully grown Crocodile monitor lizard be able to kill and eat a highly venomous snake such as a King cobra and not be affected by the King cobra's venom if these two reptiles were to meet in a head to head encounter? I await your reply.

I have a Timor monitor. About 2ft total length max but almost identical in appearance to the croc monitor. Not getting anything bigger. Mine can still scratch pretty good. I can only image if a full grown 12ft croc monitor spazzed out with teeth, claws, and tail going everywhere. Ouch.

Thanks for updating & responding, that sucks but hey every dog has it's day.just hope to get more knowledge on breeding, interview, especially genetics, complexes on balls, retics, monitors, and more. WeirdFamily indeed. Long, recurved, blade like teeth, that don’t let go. Their teeth are naturally evolved to grab birds, and feathers can be slippery, so these teeth grasp on very well. My giant ornate Nile monitor once accidentally hit my hand all the way across, and left a V on each side of my hand, plus a bit of slicing, but the worst part was the pressure. It seriously felt like getting your hand stuck in a car door that actually closes. Ouch ouch ouch.
