Good morning I have been following you for a long time now and I have made many of your models, sometimes in several copies. Each time, the people I gave them to were delighted. I never paid attention to this tutorial. He's very interesting. Just one question: from the measurements, can I adapt my projects with hooks (and corresponding yarn) in 3, 3.5, 4.5 or 5? Thank you for your response and the superb models that you explain to us.

Grazie♥️

Hi Simone. On your big chart that has measurements up 5-6 yrs there is SCYE depth, (half way down the page), could you explain what that means? Also 2nd from the bottom UPPER SLEEVE, is that the circumference of sleeve where it joins yoke? Absolutely love your patterns and enjoying making the cardigans, I’m up to #5 + 1 pair pants. It’s so easy to adjust to size of yarn as I can’t always get DK yarn here. It’s much easier to work to measurements rather than stitch count. Thanks for sharing your patterns.
@simonacrochet41493 жыл бұрын
Good morning, scye is another name for armhole depth, and upper sleeve is is a half of the sleeve circumference ,in other words it's when you measure your sleeve flat rather than all way around. I am delighted to hear that you are able to adjust patterns to your needs whatever your yarn weight is , that is exactly why I use measurements rather than stitch count

I understand the measurement part. Where my brain stops working is how you figure out the dividing up of the chain between front sections, sleeves and back. Is there a formula you are using to calculate this?
@simonacrochet41492 жыл бұрын
There is a formula that I use, it's difficult to explain in writing. Try watching my #1 video( very first one)

Hello Simona.. well explained.. but i have a doubt how can we decide or measure the exact starting chain as well as the number of chains should divided for frond sleeves and back?

Thank you very much for this. Just one question, the sleeve length on this top for the size you gave (18-24 months) is 25cms. Going by your chart, I'm in the process of making a 3-4 years cardigan and the measurement for the sleeve length is 24.5cms. How come the smaller sized top has a longer arm length than a 3-4 years size? (i know all clothing differs, even for the same size but now I'm wondering if I'm making the sleeves too short 🤔)
@simonacrochet41493 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on the sleeves there, I feel that all shop bought cardigans have longer sleeves , even on this top I remember rolling back sleeves for my son
