@@SarahDeeCrochet I completed the turtle head and arms and am ready for the next video. All the yarn is out of stock so I used what I have on hand. I have never even tried to embroider eyes like this and it was an easy tutorial to follow. Thanks! I may get impatient and order the written instructions, it’s really nice to have them for the future, too.

After you do the final slip stitch to join, you say yarn over and I am not quite sure why. Are you doing a chain after the slip stitch then pulling the 18 inches of yarn thru that chain ?

I suppose that is a personal preference for fastening off. You don't have to do that final yarn over and pull through, it just creates a more final knot on the final round. ❤

What ply is the yarn

This is listed as a sport weight yarn. According to Google that means it is a 5 or 6 ply. In my opinion, Scheepjes Stonewashed works more like a light DK and has a nice structure. I highly recommend.
