I want to thank you for this blanket. My best friend Jenn lost her husband to covid last year and living with her through her grief has grown us as sister friends. I have been searching for the perfect blanket that describes her husband Phil. Phil was a police officer who deeply loved his family. He was funny, good natured, had a colorful personality. He loved butterflies and when I saw this blanket with the flowers attached it got me thinking how perfect it would be if I made butterflies and attached them as well. I am making this while watching Gilmore Girls, which is a show Jenn and I share. She doesn’t know I’m making this for her but she will soon. Thank you!

Thanks for explaining "multiples of 3 and 2 plus 2" more clearly ( the chain length is an even number ALSO divisible by 3). THAT led me to create what I think is the perfect baby/carriage/pram size of 96+2 for the starting chain. I also decided to do each session as 3 sets of 5 (15 rows). I did my 194 cast on with a 4.00 hook, and then started the blanket with the 3.50. I don't get that slight bend in the work and the worked yarn hangs straight down and doesn't curl. I get a bit more crochet room in that 1st row as well. The Wendy Supreme yarn is absolutely wonderful. Every stitch crochets up beautifully. Extremely even in tension and grace. Ken

Haven’t received my yarn pack as yet but wrote down the colour changes. So gorgeous. The pack was sent around the 9 th but still awaiting. Post is very slow. Not the channels fault tho. Probably held up in customs. Customs in Europe is not allowing goods to go thru to Europe so some businesses are not able to ship overseas from Canada. Everything is being sent back to some businesses and return costs are sent back to the company. Canadian prepper has notified us.

I know this question is asked each time, but how do you convert the starting chain for a lap blanket size? Approximately 36" x 48" (92cm x 123cm) It doesn't have to be exact. Anja said a multiple of 3 and 2, +2. I understand a multiple of 3 but I do not understand 3 and 2. 🤨 I donate blankets and I really need them to be lap size. I might have to just make the sampler and figure out the count from there. I seem to always run into problems with the count when each row changes to a different stitch. I never was able to convert the Lizzie. I made the full size but would love to make a lap size of it also. Thanks so much! 😍
@OpheliaTalks2 жыл бұрын
What I mean is, your starting chain has to be a number divisible by both 3 and 2, so an even number also divisible by 3, like say 60, hope this helps, Anja x

I’m thrilled with the quality of the wsdk yarn. It has slightly more twist in the plying which results in a lofty fabric with beautiful stitch definition. I could use a little help with gauge. I can’t seem to find any reference to the finished size of the blanket - I’m not familiar with the dimensions of a twin blanket. It would be helpful to give the dimensions of the sampler swatch so I can see if I need to change hook size or use different multiples. I know some are turned off with the mention of gauge swatch…. But I’ve down a lot of garments, so find them essential 😉
