Hi Anya. I love a lot of your projects but this is my favorite. You and I crochet the same way, and that includes that first row, as Continental Europeans that we are, you from Belgium and I from Spain. I lived in Brussels for 2 years in the early 80s. Loved the country but couldn't take the lack of sun. Thanks for making your videos fun.

Oh Anja,Now I have to go and buy some more yarn. I've always liked this pattern, and you've made it look so easy. I've just sent my son a C2C blanket,so apart from a granny square blanket that's on the go ,I've got time to do this. It looks so relaxing.I like the tip at the beginning about picking up both v loops, to prevent that dreadful hole. I use the back hump a lot, but that stretches to...A great video as always .Amanda xx

Like this pattern and will certainly try making one. I crochet blankets for pets in single crochet and donate them to my local Animal Shelter. SC solid blankets (no holes) so pets can’t get their nails hooked into them. Please consider making a tutorial for a sc rectangle that I can use my scraps to make a blanket.

17, and then however many chains you like to do for a double crochet (US terms) . So, if you do 3 chains, it's a multiple of 17+3. Anja does 2 chains, do she did 51 (17×3) and then chained 2 for the first double crochet of the actual row (not the foundation chain) before beginning to work into the next chain for the row. If you're planning on doing a foundation double crochet, it's just a multiple of 17.
