Crochet: Amigurumi Ghosts (Step by Step)

I made 1 of these so far. I'm making these for my Grandkids. I used a variegated Gray, White, Black Yarn and made a chain by doubling the yarn and using a J Hook.. I wrapped it around him and around both arms and used a small stitch under one arm to secure it. Thank You for you wonderful technique of showing how to make this! I LOVE IT!

I finished the little ghost so adorable, love him. Thought it would be harder to make but no! My problems came with the arms. I don’t know why this was an issue for me, but I put it down started it again ripped it out etc. 😮. Finally got it so now to sew them on. Wish me luck😜. After al. That I will be making more. Thanks you for this good tutorial

🌺💮 Hi there! I just started crochet and I have to say, after watching many more hours than I most likely should have, I finally was able to make...wait for it....a friendship bracelet for my mom. I'm a slow learner but your tutorials, out of all the others I watched, helped me the most retaining the information needed. I thought crochet stitches were universal. What you’re calling a double crochet, I know as a single. Is this common where you are? I’m just curious as I don’t want to accidentally come up on a pattern that totally confuses me. This one is good as your tutorial is perfect.

Double crochet is the UK term for what is called a single crochet in the US (and Canada too, I think) 3:18

hello! i am an intermediate crocheter and i was trying to make this when i noticed all of the instructions say double crochet but in the video it looks like single crochets. i didnt notice til around 13 and a half minutes into the video when i wanted a brief reminder of an invisible decrease. it might be a misunderstanding , i just was wondering because my ghost is so far looking much much bigger than the one in the tutorial. i know this video is a bit older so this might not be seen, but if you happen to see this, it would be really helpful if you could clarify whether it was meant to be a full double crochet stitch or just a single crochet! thank you ♡

When she says English, she’s referring to the UK.. they call single crochet a “double” crochet. The stitch she’s using here is single crochet.
