Hi beautiful people! First thank you all for choosing my video to watch. Initially when the video was uploaded it was not blurred. When the video began circulating more rapidly the model in the video decided she changed her mind and did not want her face on camera. To try to respect her wishes I tried KZbin blur to keep from having to remove the video. Unfortunately this is what I got. I hope the explanations throughout the video helps you explain what I am doing and why. The entire video is not blurred. Listen to the parts you are unable to watch. Comment further questions if you have them. I’d be glad to answer 💛

I had this patterned done too often and it caused too much tension and some hair lost. Great video, just remember to switch up the pattern from time to time on regular clients. Once I stopped the pattern and switch it up my hair started to grow back.

Thankyou for sharing this! I used this pattern on my sister’s hair. She lost her hair due to having chemotherapy. It started to grow but her edges and eyebrows didn’t grow back in. I used this technique and was able to put in crochet braids that hid the fact that she didn’t have edges. SHE WAS SOOOOO HAPPY! Anyway thanks again to you and the model for posting this video!

Through this entire video the braider explained what, how, why and when she did everything for her client's comfort and style, and she still got negative compliments. I don't understand negative people 🙏praying for deliverance for them!! Beautiful job

Some people cannot be happy unless they are (loudly) judging someone else. That's all I can figure. In my experience, if a client isn't happy they're the first to let you know. 😂😂

@Darius Brown It is not that deep, love. It's her clientele. She knows them, we don't. Making assumptions and JUDGMENTS on her work from a video on KZbin is just silly and irresponsible. Leave her alone. Damn.

@Darius Brown Those are all interesting judgements considering that I'm white. I came to this video to learn something new about braiding textured hair. Hopefully you do the same (learn), if not from the video than from your comments and assumptions.

It was committed on my post that how dumb are we to have things like this done to our hair and it probably make things worst. I usually try to era on the side of caution before I call something dumb. You never know why people do the things they do. I have a medical condition called PCOS and type 2 diabetes that comes along with it. It causes me to have man pattern baldness and it a struggle to lose your hair and feel it nothing you can do about it. I happy and proud that it stylist out here that gives a damn. I appreciate you for this. What ever her problem is. My mom try to help me self esteem when ever I need it. Just ask questions before you bash someone. Much love 🌻🌻

Although I like the braid pattern and technique my only negative response is that I cannot enjoy the video because of the smudge that is masking the majority of the clients head please next time try to pick a client who does not mind having her face shown with the entire head visible
@resemblemebyrobyn4 жыл бұрын
I really do apologize about that. She initially agreed & I’ve had this video up for months without a problem. Randomly she reported it and asked me to take it down for personal reasons. Instead of taking it down I tried a different approach (blurring her face out). Unfortunately KZbin does a terrible job at it ie. the video. I hope the explanatory commentary helps. I really wish she wouldn’t have changed her mind.

You’re a smart, professional,sweet person. You are absolutely right, constant pulling on the follicle kills the blood flow and nourishment and causes the hair to fall out. (Brushing your scalp will break up product build up, bring blood flow to the follicle and nourish the hair. If you have curly hair do this before you shampoo rather than daily, gently comb knots out with wide toothed comb then brush your hair toward your forehead then back to the nape. Do not snap or tear through it! If your scalp has little red dots your follicles could be suffocating. Use a padded brush with the little beads on the bristles or a quality detangling brush. If your hair is long enough put it in a bun at the base of neck after it is dry and sleep on it. This will calm frizz and give a beautiful wave. Screw hair pins work the best.) You are very good. I hope you’re paid well. God bless you and your career, from a sister cosmetologist.

@vikkij63115 жыл бұрын
I’m a braider. This lady hair wasn’t tight. She braided her hair gently like you would braid a child’s hair. Her hair only looks tight because you can see so much of her scalp so it gives the illusion the hair is pulled. It’s not. People with hair like hers usually keep it braided or in other protective styles. They can’t wear it in heat styles it’s too thin and soft. I bet her scalp was even soft.

@Glitter Pig same here. When I want my hair to grow out healthier. I keep it braided with boxed braids. As it grows out. I get it braided again. When done correctly and maintained properly with the right products. It's super thick and healthy in the ending results. Just get your ends cut and rebraid again.

@JAHumanBeing4 жыл бұрын
African American hair comes in many, many textures & densities, as I am sure other cultures do, as well. Thin, course, mult- textured, thick, very thick, dense, very dense(which holds more moisture), making drying time longer. We all have different qualities that require different methods, not better, just different. Same idea is true concerning race & cultures, not better! just different!

For those saying the client's hair is too tight, it is not. As a person that has been braiding for decades, and more recently women with thin hair and bald spots, if it was too tight, you would see (even the slightest) flinch and she would definitely tell the braider. Also the braider would not be able to bring the braiding hair strand end through the braided down area 18:07 Her scalp is light red because she is light-skinned and the blood flow to the surface shows more (and, not speaking it to existence, could have an underlying condition). Braider oiled the scalp and left enough space for air to breathe through 17:31 As long as a person keeps their braided style in for a month, oil their scalp every 4 days (with a good growth oil) and use dry shampoo if necessary (yes people, you still have to take care of your hair when it is in braids, weaves, etc.), does a full clean wash between each braiding style, and allows the natural hair to rest a week or two after 3 braided styles, the hair can thrive and grow. My blessed hands that I am grateful to God for has helped 5 women in the past year alone with thickness and growth to their hair (some were even thinner than this). This is why I responded. Great job to the braider.
@rondas77725 жыл бұрын
Well said and written, but aren't the braids to tight for a crochet install? And aren't the beards too close to the scalp.

The client hair wasn’t too tight, because you would be able to see it from looking at her scalp. What was seen was because her hair is thin, the gathering of the hair going into the braid looks tight because of the thinness of the lady hair. It looked like it was pulling, but it wasn’t. Be blessed, and continue doing a great job with your craft, young lady.❤️❤️💯

It looks tight. Thin hair don't need to be pulled on too much.

Its not tight. She is not braiding directly on edge and also with thin hair that is straightened, it looks that way. I don't think its tight. If too loose, it will pull her hair when she runs hand thru added crochet hair.

Her hair is thin and soft. It just looks tight because of the extra space and how neat her braids are. In any case, this is a crochet style, the foundation needs to be neat.

I felt as though she explained all of this in her video.

You did an excellent job on editing because I keep missing the part where you take your hair out of the ponytail LOL!
