I really like the fact that you used two hair textures, SEPARATED the curls, and fluffed them up! I hate when people put in crochet hair and leave the curls looking stiff, uniform, and tight. I know everybody hates frizziness but thats what makes the hair looks natural!! Nobody has perfectly formed curls from top to bottom...Very cute hairstyle!

Agreed, it's something about having the same exact curl that has the same density, color, all over that makes it looks manufactured

There are many tutorials on braiding and the invisible part. But..you are the first one I watched....that didn't demonstrate so fast...that those of us who NEVER crochet before...CANNOT understand. THANK YOU!!!!! for going slow... and taking time to actually show HOW to put in an invisible track!!!!!

Yes Your Natural Hair is amazing, and I love the braiding pattern, it's so easy for people like me who can braid..... but not a braid professional. I will definitely be trying your braiding pattern and using the needle and braiding thread to braid your hair down.

I've been mixing textures for about 2 years now and I love it!! So much more natural looking when all the curls aren't exactly the same. This style looked amazing but I could never handle that much hair girl, you good! Another small tip is that when your crochet is getting older to the point where it's not the "good old" just add a few more new pieces to the front and cut any scraggly pieces. This'll refresh the look a little bit until you're ready to take it out.

Love it.. I love the volume, length, colors and the little short pieces in the front. I remember my first time doing this style on my daughter’s hair. My daughter’s hair came out so beautiful and she loves💗it. Her hair grew so much from the protective styles. I’m 💯% a crocheter for life and if your natural this is for you.

Thick_BrowedBeaut For some reason the Barbadian braid is harder to find. It's such a great curl I can't really compare it to anything else. But if I had to compare it maybe aruba curl...maybe. I always have to order Barbadian braid off amazon it's worth it though. Hope this helps!😊

This hairstyle is genius. How did you sew the braids (underneath the style) together please 😢

Chelsea did you literally do 1 for 1 in terms of alternating the two curl patterns - or was it more random?

M Jay I did a little of both but for the most part I alternated each curl 1 for 1.

Really beautiful job and the end result definitely looked super natural. If I wanted the same look, but less volume .... I read that you said 3-4 packs can do the job. So would it be just be one of each of the 4-5 different curl patterns. ?

Finally. I've seen some crochet mixes that looked questionable. Yours looks amazing!! Deep twist is my go to and I've always been skeptical about the Barbadian braid. y’all I tried this hair out, I didn’t do the lightest color though, but it’s truly amazing . it’s heavy though, not gonna lie , but basically wrap it up with gel ( be careful ) because when I wrapped mine with gel I realized by like the end of the week I noticed the gel started to dry out creating white specs, meaning I had to wash it once a week, and the curls stayed .

TheKatedra It depends. Sometimes I'm in a mood where I really want to have access to my natural hair so then I'll have to say a wig is better. But sometimes I want a break from my natural hair so then I'll have to say crocheting in is better. It just depends.
