Just finished my first coaster! I had to rip out my petals because I made twice the amount - I’m a beginner and needed more of a close up view of exactly where (which holes) those 7 dc were going! I put them in every hole!, But after I ripped them out I figured out where to ‘skip’ and where to stitch into and the coaster came out great! Thank you for a great tutorial for this beginner! Love this coaster. Just wish you would say how many double crochets you should have at the end of each round. Also, I found it difficult to tell exactly what you were calling the single crochet stitches on the last round. Would have liked for you to lay the coaster down to point this out. Thank you

maybe try crocheting loosely? I can see if your stitches are too tight, it might curl. Do you think maybe you missed a stitch? None of mine came out curly... hmmm...
