Hi, I enjoyed your tutorial, could you tell me how many chains you need to do a men's pair of fingerless gloves? Thanks...
@aworkofcraft4 жыл бұрын
It depends how big his hands are. For a man's I would try chaining 27 or 29, but measure after the first row.

Getting ready to start a pair. Q: can I chain 2 at the beginning of my row instead of chain 1? For a half double c I usually chain 2 for the row height.. Also, can I insert my hook in the back loop only for my stitches to get a "ribbed effect"? Thanks 😊
@aworkofcraft3 жыл бұрын
Normally yes, and if you feel comfortable do it, I did it this way so its tighter.

I’m planning on using your pattern but stopping at the wrist; so I’m planning to just make arm warmers. Would this pattern still work for that?
@aworkofcraft3 жыл бұрын
Yes

When you were making the thumb hole, you did slip stitch on the 1st 5 st then turn it around but you did not do a slip stitch on the other 5 stitches. Did I miss is it not needed?
@aworkofcraft6 жыл бұрын
Not needed. I only did it to move to that point.

Hi how many would i chain for man fingerless gloves
@aworkofcraft11 ай бұрын
Just add a few more, maybe 5. You will have to measure.

you already had 2 rows when it says to continue for the next 10 rows, but then you only do 10 rows total before the increase, so it seems as though you mean 12 rows, but you don't. This got confusing for me, I had to pause it and count when it was on your wrist.
@aworkofcraft4 жыл бұрын
It's for a total of 10 rows.
@storybookweather70084 жыл бұрын
@@aworkofcraft yeah I got that, as I explained in my post, but it wasn't clear at first in the video.
@TammyPesson-e5d3 жыл бұрын
@@aworkofcraft so it's 10 rows from the beginning of the gloves or 10 rows after the 1st 2 rows. I'm not sure because it says the next 10 rows where as you had already worked 2 rows?
@aworkofcraft3 жыл бұрын
@@TammyPesson-e5d It is a total of 10 rows. Sorry if that was not clear.
@TammyPesson-e5d3 жыл бұрын
@@aworkofcraft and than 10 rows of increase right?

Did you change the colour of the yarn at any point or is that just how that colour looks?

It is the way the color looks.

Could these reach up to the elbow?
@aworkofcraft3 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you will have to increase, as the arm gets a little wider at the elbow.

By the time I'd reached my ten rows I had 30+ stitches going around. Why have my stitches increased so much??!
@aworkofcraft4 жыл бұрын
It is an easy mistake. You are probably going into the first stitch after your chain one. It is the second one you need to go into. 3:15 in the video
