I have made and sold baby blankets; sold for about $25 - $45 depending on yarn, style, time. Should've sold for more, but a new baby's granny can really get me 😂 ❤

I've mostly made blankets in my crocheting life (lol -since junior high). And you're completely right=they usually take way longer to make than I would want to spend only to sell them. Though making it as one continuous granny square is my easiest & fastest kind that comes to mind. Or granny rectangle. Thanks for this video! I chose the same coworker whose name I have had the last couple of years... so I've run out of ideas 😂.

I quit making blankets to sell because the yarn to make one here in Canada is easily $100 so to make any money on it you would have to charge double.

Me too! Canadian. I agree with the prices in Canada. But in my area, in the many years I have been crocheting, I might have sold 10 blanket and gave away a lot. We have blankets everywhere in our house. So nice to have in the chilly evenings.

I have made many blankets of lots of designs, but have never sold them because they can take me up to a month to make them. I asked them at work how much they thought I could get for one and the first answer was $20. People who don't knit/crochet have no idea and wouldn't pay to make it worth it.

Hi Tammi…I’m making Christmas 🎄 Stockings for my 3 Grandkids (16/18/20) I’ve never done it, but doing my best. Then going to put Christmas gifts inside their stockings. I want to make my DIL some fingerless gloves, and there’s these little Christmas pouches that Crystal on BOD recently put out a tutorial for and then you can put nice smelling sachets in them. I’m wanting to do a poncho by BOD for my DIL, but will have to see if I’m ready to brave it…😊 I liked your ideas, thanks for the video ❤

Thank you for the suggestions for holiday gifts. So far this year I have made a couple of ear warmer/headbands, and a couple of beanies. I have made this Bonnie Bay Crochet, Celtic Mandala Throw, 3 times it takes about 3 months to finish and the yarn costs about $60. Never have sold them, one was a wedding gift, one for a grandson and the last was a donation for a fund raiser. Personally I don't see how you could find someone to pay you enough for your time and material costs with a beautiful hand made blanket. kzbin.info/www/bejne/opuria2unZh2fposi=mNztt65WZHVCuD2I I have always followed the you tube video. This really works up nice, so is worth the time you put into it.

6 hours for a blanket is nothing thanks to huge yarn and hooks. I've spent a couple weeks on a blanket. They are almost always for gifts. I have one ordered for $350. I'll make around $10 per hour.
