You are most welcome! My paternal grandmother was born in Northern Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1930. 😀

How would you adjust this one for an adult size? Thank you!❤
@createandcrochetwithpatricia Жыл бұрын
You can make the rectangle sections larger, so you'd have to create granny squares the right size to fit, but roughly make two panels 15" x 30" for sm/med, 16" x 32" for lg/xlg, or 17" x34" for 2xl-3xl. Hope that helps!

PS... I just noticed you commented on the TOG granny, so you could use that square which finishes at 5" and make each panel 3 squares by 6 squares for the sm/med. You can go up in crochet hook size to make the squares larger for a bigger fit,... have fun!

Any chance you could tell me how to make it for a 8 year old? I am assuming just add more squares? She’s 51 inches tall or 130cm. I would love guidance if you could help :)

This is from the comment above yours to Naga Mallika who wanted sizing for a 16 year old... I think she commented in Part Two that she ended up making the squares 4", which would make each panel about 12" by 24", and that worked out perfect. So, perhaps you might want to make them 3.5"?? My reply to her question... " This pattern is for toddlers, so for a young adult, you may want to make the granny squares with 3 rounds, rather than 2. I do have an online course for a Bohemian Poncho for adults where I offer 3 different sizes. For an adult small with measurements of bust: 32-38, waist: 25-30, and hips: 35-40, you would make the panels 15" by 30" (rather than the 9" by 18" for toddler large). You may want to look for a pattern for adults if this doesn't make sense. Here is a link to the course I created: www.udemy.com/course/learn-how-to-crochet-a-bohemian-poncho-for-beginners/?referralCode=43350DFD0F89A6E582BA"

How many squares do I need (3mm hook) for 2.5 years and 3 years?
@createandcrochetwithpatricia4 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I only have the sizes up to 24 months and with the 4 mm crochet hook. You'd have to find a different pattern to fit your requirements.

Hi. Please how may squares do I need for a size large and I want to make it a turtleneck.
@createandcrochetwithpatricia4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how you'd make it into a turtle neck, but see the comment below yours from Naga Mallika, and also check out the comment from Samantha Segaline in part two of this tutorial on how to make the pattern larger: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqG2mKyhnNiapsk Basically, you just make larger granny squares...

@@SackinaGoulbourne Walmart Canada however, in the blog post, if you click on the blue links of the supply list, that will take you to Amazon.com. This is an old post, so some of those colors may not be available anymore. You can also go directly to Yarnspirations or other online yarn stores to see if you can find them. Another brand that is similar is Red Heart. There will be lots of choices of similar colors.

Does this poncho fit a 4 year?
@createandcrochetwithpatricia3 жыл бұрын
This pattern has sizing options for up to 24 months. You could increase the size of the granny squares to make the pattern larger, but I couldn't say what size you would need for that.
