To clarify, the starting chain needs to be an odd number times 8 plus 1. I was counting my setup row and I chained 161 which is 20 times 8 plus 1 and there were extra chains. I dropped it to 19 times 8 plus one and it equaled out.

Hi I just found your channel and I am making a blanket using this stitch with red heart granny square yarn. I am totally loving this stitch. My blanket will be a full size one. But your tutorial is so easy to follow thank you so much.

YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL TUTORIAL. I not only enjoyed the tutorial but also your personal story and such an awesome way of giving instructions. It was low key, not stressful or too fast at all. I will be seeing more of them Thank you so much. Also I wanted to say that I am praying for your daughter as well. My daughter waited 8 years before her first. God Bless!🤗

I know this stitch as the Cathrine Wheel. It is quite an effective stitch and you explained it far better than the teacher at school who taught me. It took ages to learn this and you made it so easy! Boy I wish you had been around to explain it to me back when I was learning but you probably weren’t even a twinkle in your mama’s eye yet lol. Thanks so much!

I love this harliquin stitch. My daughter was in the same situation 23 years ago and after she had 4 rounds of IVF she had Thomas he is so special and 23 months later she had Harry naturally and low and behold another 20 monthes later she had Ellie naturally. Her family is now complete . Never give up hope.

Hello from Canada. I'm going to use a variegated yarn for the entire blanket & I might use white for the border. In the variegated yarn I've chose the colors don't change quickly at all so it should be a very nice contrast. I follow you on utube & you explain so very well. Thanks again & be safe

My crocheting addiction (yes it's an addiction by now lol) actually started with knitting. I took an elective class in school and my teacher always told my stitches were too tight, but a few years later I learned crocheting and it's much easier in my opinion. My tendency to make "tight stitches" almost became a blessing lol

I used this to make a baby blanket. It came out beautifully. I did get confused with the counts of end and start stitches but got the hang of it after a few rewinds. It works up much easier than Catherine's Wheel which I started and pulled out to switch to the Harlequin stitch which I also found to be a, prettier stitch with less holes.

Gorgeous pattern. I would love to make an Afghan using this pattern (Did I mention I will be 80 yrs old in July?). I would gift the Afghan to my best friend of almost the same age (we have been friends since forever!). She has Alzheimer’s but we talk often. We now live in different states (she lives in N. Louisiana) since my daughter wants me to live near her. Would this beautiful pattern be appropriate for my sweet friend and, if so, would you please suggest weight of yarn and size of crochet hook. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you so much in advance for any help you can give me. I live in McKinney, TX in 12:55 12:55 a lovely retirement facility.

At the end of the project, I like to use a tapestry needle to weave all the ends through the stitches of the blanket. I find this will secure the ends the best.

Ty so much for doing a video on this. Between this stitch and the Catherine's wheel and Starburst, it was all so confusing. Some seem to think it's all the same but it's not. Using this stitch to make a cushion. So cool that you and I crochet the same way. My mother in law and others I've seen, hold the hook and yarn completely different. I can't do it that way.😊💕

Excellent tutorial, beautiful stitch, a lot of fun to work. Much easier, for me, than the Catherine Wheel, which I love to look at but have a hard time getting any of mine to look right. Hello Tiffany, I LOVE your channel and your work and stitches. You and I think very alike. The tutorial on the Harlequin srirch I found a bit challenging, as the endings to the rows are important, that is why I failed with the CWheel. My ends looked very shabby. I love your chatter, but the rows were were not representative as two were from the starting chain and the two from the colour change and then your chatter interfered a bit with one of the endings. Please post another video on this stitch, doing at least 10 rows. I did not find that the 5 row repeat including the colour change was sufficient. I love your work and would like to follow your instructions.

Your pattern is missing the first sc in row 1. Pretty sure it should say: In the 5th chain from the hook, work [3 DC, 1 CH, 3 DC], skip 3 ch's, sc in next ch, *skip 3 ch’s, [3 DC, 1 CH, 3 DC] in next ch, skip 3 ch, 1 SC in next ch, repeat from * to the end of the row.
@DaisyFarmCrafts
@DaisyFarmCrafts 6 жыл бұрын
Rita Miller thank you! I fixed it.
@RitaMillerLA
@RitaMillerLA 6 жыл бұрын
It's still wrong. You need to add another "skip 3 ch's" and you need to move the first asterisk to AFTER the 1sc, just like what I wrote above: In the 5th chain from the hook, work [3 DC, 1 CH, 3 DC], skip 3 ch's, sc in next ch, *skip 3 ch’s, [3 DC, 1 CH, 3 DC] in next ch, skip 3 ch, 1 SC in next ch, repeat from * to the end of the row.
