Tiffany, Thank you for showing the sedge stitch using chunky yarn. I've bought so much chunky yarn but put off using it because I was intimidated by the yarn. I'm a beginner and have crocheted a linen stitch blanket, granny stitch blanket, Chevron pattern blanket, C2C blankets and suzette stitch blanket. All using regular yarn never chunky or bulky. Now I'm confident I can crochet my 1st sedge stitch chunky blanket my daughter has been wanting. I can't thank you enough! P.S. - What level am I at now? I've crocheted 4 scarfs, 9 blankets, 4 pot holders, 1 Christmas stocking. Now I'm working on my 10 blanket.

I really love how normal you are when speaking. Most videos people are overly cheery .. but for crocheting in the evening when the kids are asleep.. I don't want to hear someone super cheery and high pitched lol. Great video!

I followed the link to the Sedge Stitch Baby Blanket and I'm confused about the border. I understand that you do each side separately for 7 rows, but then you chain 3 and go where? Isn't that side that you just finished going to be taller than the side next to it? Maybe you could do a tutorial for this blanket as well?

I don't know exactly but it's probably Bernat roving. She frequently uses that yarn. So that would be my guess.
