This is awesome! I’ve only knit an icord on very small needles to go with a gift bag for my mother. I have to say it sits there half done because the process is positively painful! I’m sure on larger needles it is fine but not on small size needles. This is the perfect solution! Thank you Sarah-Jayne! Now I can finally finish the gift bag and send it to my wonderful mom! She’s going to be 92 early next year and she and my dad are still going strong. 70 years this coming June! She is a master quilter. Currently she does Bargello as well and has crocheted and knit over the years making all my kids and grandkids heirlooms! I am truly blessed and this wonderful cord has been driving me nuts! A perfect Sunday! Icord dilemma solved, 19 year old granddaughter hanging out with us and Poldark tonight! It doesn’t get any better than this!💕💕

By far the easiest tutorial for an I-cord! 💯 Don't really understand the fuss about this being hard to crochet and easy to knit. After releasing the loops just hold on to the two loops for a second when you're pulling through the first one and that locks everything in place. ❤ Best to try out with a thicker yarn on your first attempt, afterwards it's smooth sailing

When you fasten off the yarn leave a long tail and just use a darning needle to sew it onto the top of the pumpkin by looping it around a few times - you can knot the yarn to make it more secure if you want 🙂

Hi Bella, I just came across a video titled "How to crochet an icord with the easiest way". It blew my mind at how quick and smart it looks, only problem is the video has no voice, its blurry and to top it off it doesn't show the key element of how to hold/ position the yarn in order to complete the icord. In other words I can't figure it out. If its not violating any ethical rules, I wish you would take a look at it, as with your experience you should be able to figure out the enigma and you could share with us one more way to make an icord. Thanks.

How would I attach it to rings at the side of my bag please . Cause handle broke
@bellacococrochet4 жыл бұрын
You would need to crochet through the ring so your stitches are worked around it - if you hold the ring behind your work, pass your hook through it to make your stitches. Hope this helps 😊

I have an I-cord that was cut in half on a shawl. Anyone know if it's fixable? I've never tried to crochet 😅 but I will for this!
@bellacococrochet5 жыл бұрын
If there is a long enough tail of yarn on each half of the I-cord then you could sew in through any loops and then attach it back together. If that doesn't work you could try making a new one using my tutorial 🙂

Hey...I just wanted to tell you guys that Jesus loves you so much. He let Himself die on the cross as punishment for OUR sins, so that we wouldn't have to do it ourselves. Then God rose Him up from the dead to symbolize that fact that we have received forgiveness for our sins and now have new life. You can tap into God's kindness and love, even right now, by believing in Jesus and what He's done for us all, and by turning your heart from sin, to the love of Christ :)
