OMG, same thing happened to me last Saturday! It was also 2 kids a brother and a sister, they kept coming back to my booth and the next thing I knew, one of my big octo plushy is gone! That was $30 bucks gone and it made me really upset. I'll just leave it to Karma to take good care of them!

Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you. UGH. I feel that from the bottom of my soul. :( I hope they feel guilty that they took it and if not, then I hope their parents taught them a lesson about it!

I love your videos. I had a market last month where I was caught off guard, talking to my husband and didn't see one of my turtles macaroon missing. Luckily, the Father came back with it and apologized that his son took it...I laughed it off but taught me to keep an eye out on my table...little kids, small hands and hard to see it sometimes. Glad you got your item back...hard experience. Keep making your videos.

Thank you so much! ☺️ I’m so glad the parent came back to return your precious plushie! Hopefully it never happens again.

Aloha from Hawaii 🌴 I'm glad you did well. I loved your plushies. I didn't realize how expensive some of the markets are. As for the little girl, when I take my granddaughters, they need to stay right by me. They have an amount they can spend. End of story. Do not touch!! I never have a problem.

Aloha! Thank you for the kind words! ☺ I am willing to pay the venue fee if I think that I can profit from the event. I've tried a few cheaper markets and my audience just wasn't there. And that's ok! That's something I learned through trial and error. I appreciate that you've taught your children and grandchildren those concepts! You would not believe the amount of children that come up to my table without a parent in sight.. and it always worries me because I am very paranoid about safety. I'm glad it's worked out for you and hope others can learn to teach their children the same. ❤

@crochetbyaraa you got a good point. The fee may be high but like you said if you can make a profit, it works. I'm with you ,safety first. You can't trust others today. I subscribed to you. I'll be able to enjoy your journey.

Hi Ara, I'm new subscriber to your channel and I love your vlogs. So nice to relate to crocheters who are just starting out their journey - I too dipped my toes into amigurumi last summer, and now starting officially since March 😊 Haven't had anyone steal - as far as I know! Buuuttt....I have had a couple of meltdowns for sure! 😂 a little girl would not for the life of her let go of one of my clams and she threw such a tantrum and wailed so loudly. Her dad had to pry it out of her hands! Sufficed to say - all eyes were on me and my stall! It's definitely a tricky art to have and sell around children! 😂

Hello and thank you so much for joining me! I watched so many crochet vloggers and other small business vlogs/videos on youtube for all the market research before I took the plunge. I can't wait to see your journey as well! (I followed you on IG) ^_^ I'd say, it's really tricky territory with the plushies (when children are involved), but there's only so much we can do. At the end of the day, we are selling our precious handmade products. People must respect that (adults and children alike!) we are running a business! Thankfully the dad was able to get your plushie back from his kiddo, but honestly I''m sorry you even had to experience that. I hope it never happens again!

I unfortunately have had attempted theft, thats one of the reasons I always have someone else with me. I just follow the person until they reunite with an adult and then calmly approach and start asking questions about the "purchase" the adult catches on quickly and I am given the product back. I then refuse to sell the item to them.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear that it's happened to you in the past. I totally understand your approach and hope that it never happens again. Honestly, I hope they all learned a lesson from you!
