I made this in a pretty blue yarn and it came out quite thick and warm. The stitch pattern is quite attractive, and good for either a man or woman. Thanks for sharing with us!

I love this beanie pattern! Easy to do for a novice like me, but the result looks fancy schmacy. I made this one for my son's birthday. I added a pink stripe to it because he is expecting a baby girl any day now. Thank you so much for great patterns and great teaching! Blessings

Fanastic tutorial but a quick tip for beginners is to place a st marker in the first and last st when ribbing so hou can easily see which one ro miss and which to work on the false rib

I love your tutorial!! I would like to make this beanie but for an extra large head, 60.6 cm but not sure how long to make the brim portion. How do you calculate the necessary brim rows for different size heads?

Hello, I have started making a new collection of hats for the craft fairs I do in the Autumn and Winter. I love hats with a brim but tend to avoid them and veer towards top down ones because I tend to get a tight row between the top edge of the brim and the beginning row of the pattern repeat. I am an experienced knitter but fairly new to crochet so any suggestions/advice on how to avoid this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and a Happy New Year!x
