Here is what you will need to make this doll:
4 mm crochet hook
3.37 mm crochet hook
yarn of choice ( 4 ply ) - I use caron one pound, red heart super saver others.
9 mm safety eyes
scissors
yarn needle
fiber fill

I just have to say, I have only been crocheting for a couple of months and have been to afraid to try amigurimi because it seemed too difficult. BUT this is the first tutorial I’ve watched where I felt like I could actually do this! Your way of explaining and showing each step was so helpful and I was able to finish this mermaid in a day. I will definitely be making more for my kids and nieces now that I have the confidence to do so. Thank you for all of the time and effort you put in to this video. I could hear your little baby making noise in the background towards the end and it just reminded me of how much you probably have to sacrifice to put just one tutorial together. Just know that it is all very much appreciated on this end and it’s videos like these that help me continue to pursue this new passion of mine.

Just like so many commenters, I used to run away from Amigurumi (though there are a ton of videos calling it - Easy). Came across your video coz for over 2hrs was searching for ideas for gifts that i could give to my friend's small children. Well I made this in one weekend! The comments encouraged me it was a good pattern and that I could do it. This is my second amigurumi or however you spell it LoL I did tweak it to use the size/color yarn and hooks I had at home, gave it a tankini instead of a bikini, and I do French knot eyes instead of safety eyes and add a little yarn smile. I also didn’t make the flower cause I was burnt out at the end and also don’t have a hot glue gun and didn’t wanna sew it LoL thanks for the tutorial!
