I don't understand what you mean by it's not curling? No part of this pattern is curling. Do you mean the edging with the slip stitch corners?

It's Magic lol "Magic Ring" closes the circle better.

In the beginning you said to make a slip knot, and in reality you did a magic circle. This would throw off beginners and confuse them thinking it's the right name. You may want to edit to correct it.
