I watched almost 10 different Tutorials in spanish (my language), from 9 pm to 12 am and couldn't understand what was happening. It only took me 8 minutes watching your video to have a complete, fresh understanding of this technique. You're the best ever!!!! 😍 😍 Thank youuuuu

I made this yesterday! It’s the first thing I’ve ever made that doesn’t look homemade - I made a slight adaption, to pull everything together at the top, I threaded through all the gaps and pulled tight which I found easier. I’m starting on my second one right now 😊

ooh good to know, I was thinking of doing the same
@nunya88434 жыл бұрын
That’s what I was thinking or decreasing end rows

@@nunya8843 but with decreasing, would you have enough thread leftover?
@Jeanna4398 Жыл бұрын
Same here. I decreased two together the whole top then stitched throughout and drew together

I know this is a couple years old, but I'm new to crocheting and I'm finding so many fun and easy patterns! I love the bobble/puff stitch. I made a hat just yesterday using this stitch. I really wish I had seen this sooner. Every row was either increasing or decreasing and constant counting in every stitch. It was getting so exhausting! This pattern cannot get any easier. I'm crocheting different gifts for each family member this year because I just don't have the money to buy gifts. I will be making this hat in a ton of colors to give to all the females!! I might just make them 2 different colored hats a piece, lol. Thank you so much!! You just made my holiday so much easier, lol. 🤶🎅❄️⛄🎄

I'm very new so it took me about 6 hours over the span of three days but it's amazing!! I only did 68 rows and 16 puff rows because of the amount of yarn I had to work with. Great practice run! Can't wait to make another! Thank you for the tutorial!

This is the video that made me a new sub. You let us know that even an experienced crocheter makes mistakes. That tells us that you're human and care about your subs. I've not been crocheting for years like a lot of KZbinrs/subs have. But, I'm not a complete beginner. This video was so descriptive that you made it SO easy to do. Some of the videos are from avid KZbinrs that forget that not everyone knows all the stitches out there and rush through their videos. Some even have just music with someone crocheting. Those blow me away, lol. Ya gotta talk!! You, on the other hand, fully explain every stitch you do, making it so easy to do with no accidents! I love your videos and can't wait to binge watch them!! Thank you!! 🌼💜🌷

I just completed this hat and I absolutely love it. I have a small head so I had to adjust the number of rows for the band and the body of the hat. I realized when I have completed the band and about 10 rows of the body, that the hat was going to be too big. It was super easy to unravel and start but because of the ease of this hat I was able to catch right up and finish the hat in a few hours.

I made this with Red Heart Hopscotch yarn in color way “Jump Rope”. So adorable! This pattern is so easy to adjust the size according to your needs. I love that you work in a continuous spiral. It makes such an easy pattern and you really can’t tell after the first couple of rounds. It just blends right in. I will be making several more of these as gifts for sure.

I just finished one for my daughter. I’m trying to make a bunch of toques for Xmas gifts. I’ve been struggling to find an easy quick pattern but everything that is quick and easy are unremarkable to look at. Boring. I love the simplicity to prettiness ratio with your pattern. Thank you so much, you’ve saved Christmas lol. Now to check out your sites to see if you have a male pattern equivalent 🥰
@majorgeneralmalaise2 жыл бұрын
I just made this and I'm pretty happy with it. It looks good even though I haven't crocheted in a while. I used cotton yarn so it's breathable and not itchy. The puff stitch was a little hard to learn but I got the hang of it after a couple rows. The top isn't super even but you can't really tell from the outside so it's fine. I used 2 skeins of Lily Sugar n Cream and I finished over 2 days, maybe 6 or 8 hours total. You could probably do it faster if you're more practiced.

Thanks for a very beginner-friendly video! I made this using not quite a full skein of Lion's Homespun (Lagoon), which is much chunkier than the yarn in your video. I just dropped one "yarn-over" from each puff stitch to compensate, and only had 7 rows in the band and 14 rows in the body of the hat to compensate, and it came out great!

I'm a crochet newbie: this is the first hat I've made and fourth crochet item ( 3 amigurumi) since I started two months ago. I'm almost finished my hat using Red Heart in black. I used a 4.5mm hook for the trim. I think Sewrella misspoke when she said 96 rows. So, I crocheted until the band fit my head and added two more rows. (I normally wear big hair and wanted room). I used a 5.0mm hook on the puffs. Newbie Notes: 1)This yarn made my fingers a bit sore after a few hours so take breaks or use a softer acrylic/blend, 2) Be careful not to grow the width of the hat by adding an extra puff on a single stitch. I counted 5 more on row #18 than on row #1. 3) Be careful not to pull strands from an old puff into a new puff. You'll know when you see diagonal lines in the space bn two puffs. 4) Add more rows if you want more slouch. I'm aiming for 22-25. 5) Use an ergonomic hook, 6) Get up and stretch every 45 mins or so. 7) Time. I've spent well over six hours on this hat. Maybe close to 10 at this point. My hook snagged and wouldn't pull through all the strands at once more often than I care to admit. This slowed me down. As a result, I had to really take my time. And, quickly tug the yarn through the loops. Tweak: I may close my hat according to Lilu's Handmade Corner's technique on her Raspberry Stitch Hat.
@fbdavila126 жыл бұрын
The band ends up being 96 rows when you back-stitch every row. I alternated back-stitching and I ended up with 72.
@rldivine8526 жыл бұрын
Every head is different. She said 96 rows fits her head. The number of rows will change according to head size and how you plan to wear the hat. Also you have to take into consideration the brand of yarn you are using, the texture of the yarn and the thickness of the yarn stands. With all these factors considered, how your project is constructed will vary. Oh one last thing, how you crochet should also be taken into account and this can change according to how you hold your hook and your comfort level with the project.
