I almost deliberately blew past this vid because for so very many years I have tried and tried to do a ripple Afghan with zero success. It never works out for me and yet something like the Virus aka German Shells Afghan is an absolute breeze for me to the point that I know it by heart ( total muscle memory ). But for some unknown reason I decided to watch this video and this pattern makes perfect sense to me. I love how it works up and how it looks so needless to say guess who’s going yarn shopping soon and giving this a go. Just found your channel & subscribed. I've been crocheting since I was 10 or so, my mom taught me. I've tried the ripple stitch but never made anything with it & never tried the puff stitch for some reason. You make it look so easy & am anxious to give it a try. It'll be a challenge with carpal tunnel but my goal is to get back into crochet. I love making afghans over anything else.

Thanks for y our trust to subscribe. This is a stunning pattern and the puff stitch is a bit of a pain but once you are used to giving it a bit of slack, it comes easier. Carpal may get in your way but I find the choice of stitches is also a factor.

Oh good luck! The Crochet Crowd always gives us such great patterns! Such talent Mikey! Thank you! Crochet can be difficult with carpal. I too, suffer from that and RA. I’ve found hooks matter. Fav hooks for less strain are Clover Amour, Furls and Tulip Etimo Rose are super smooth and really make a difference! Happy Hooking! 🧶✌🏼👍🏼

Take your time hon doing any crochet. Like so many others I dealt both carpal tunnel and RA and as they worsen my crocheting gets a bit slower but that’s ok. You can do this, you really can. ✨💫🤗💫✨

I’ve found that the multiple can also be 19+4 if someone wanted to do just one repeat for a chevron scarf.

I don’t particularly want to keep changing colors - would an ombré yarn or a Baby Cakes yarn work well with this pattern. I’ve tried this pattern before but it’s been in my To Do list for awhile - considering it for a Christmas gift. Thanks for your input😘
