Hi! Just wondering what you do for the row at 17:16 where you do 1dc, 4dc, 1dc (3dc,ch3,3dc). I managed to get to that section, and did everything else right but to me that part is confusing. Do we do both sets in the same spot 3 times? Also- would the first set just be 6 dc? The way it’s written makes it seem like there’s more steps involved

My wife and I absolutely love your skull pattern in this Granny square because the nose opening is smaller and the sides of the nose between the nose and each eye are tighter and stronger than many of the other patterns out there. They look like they wont stretch or tear while being used in a cardigan pattern that she has me working on. I do have one question though. Will it make much difference if I use a Size G/6 - 4.0mm hook? I am still fairly new to crocheting and learning things as I go. Again these are amazing and your video is easy to follow along with. Thanks for sharing this with the world!

You're amazing, Jonny. The cardigan will be the best looking one for sure. If you use Caron Simply Soft yarn like I did with a 4mm crochet hook you will have a little bigger granny square. But if you use Red Heart or Mainstays yarn you will have a much bigger granny square as they're thicker medium size 4 yarns than Caron Simply Soft. Hope it helps. Thank you for watching. After the first set of chains you slip stich then you do another set of chains. The intersection where you a slip stitching how do you stop this from expanding. It makes my skull look like it has two noses? I have tried holding this section as I go round but still the stich pulls Thank you for any advice.
