Beautiful design for your slouch hat. I made another slouch hat for another pattern but the rim was too big. Your tutorial on how to make the trim smaller was perfect. I am glad I did not pull out all of the yarn to start over. Thank you !

At what row will I see the hat turn downward to start looking like a beanie? Looks to me like I’m just making a big placemat.
@StephanieZed2 жыл бұрын
Make sure that each row has the same amount of stitches. If you are not increasing it will form the hat soon. 😊

Hi! If I will use 3mm hooksize, should I increase the stitches?
@StephanieZed3 жыл бұрын
Yes, make sure it fits your head size. 😊
@Rita-cd9bj2 жыл бұрын
I know this reply is waaaay late, but it may help others with same question; Trying to add stitches to an already tested pattern is very hard to do, wouldn't it be much easier to just use the recommended hook, unless you're ready to design a new hat
@meggielansang9013 жыл бұрын
My outcome was too small for the kid, maybe because of the yarn that I used (8 strands milk cotton). What can I do to make it a little bigger?
@StephanieZed3 жыл бұрын
If you did the child version and it’s too small, do the adult version. If that is too small, increase your starting circle more.
@thevirtuousaccountant3 жыл бұрын
Im just ending up with a big circle. When do we decrease to form the shape of the hat? I don't understand.
@StephanieZed3 жыл бұрын
At 28:00 you should have 72 stitches in each row. Do not do any more increase. Continue 72 until you have your desired length.
@thevirtuousaccountant3 жыл бұрын

What are the width of the adult and youth sizes? If someone’s head is 21 1/2” circumference, which is better?
@StephanieZed2 жыл бұрын
Jus make it 1 “ less. This should allow for some stretch to keep the hat on.
