Crochet Society Unboxing 48

This months box is bursting with colour and rainbows! The metallic detail on the box has changed from our usual Rose Gold to a Silver colour which looks equally pretty. This box is full to the brim with 300g of King Cole yarn in both Cherish and Big Value DK, plenty of stuffing, safety eyes, a rainbow crochet hook, rainbow yarn ball stitch marker, and a fab yarn bowl box which you can put together or use the pieces separately.
The box is curated by Emkatcrochet and unfortunately this time around, the patterns are just not to my taste. They are however perfect for beginners when learning new techniques but I won't be making them myself which is a shame. This is the last Crochet Society box I will be pruchasing for some time due to my upcoming move, however I will be contuining my making series and working through past boxes in this way.

If you like a surprise then these will most definitely keep you on your toes. There is a box reveal on the main page each month which lists everything you get inside and features the designers who have created their exclusive patterns for each box too. Great way of meeting new designers!
There are several options for subscribing but you are also able to buy the boxes on their own, albeit a little more expensive this way.
Anyway I hope you find this of interest and might even purchase your own boxes in the future. I am not affiliated in any way, simply sharing the crochet loveliness! There are lots of other box subscriptions out there including 'Little box of Crochet', 'Curate' crochet box and for anyone who is more adept at knitting there is also 'Knit in a box' and 'Stitch kit' subscription boxes which may float your boat a little more :) There is also a selection of paper craft and geeky subscription boxes out there too!

I agree with you on the box. Love what was in it but the patterns, not so much. And the stuffing is like sand at the beach - it gets into places you never would've thought lol.

Lol the stuffing definitely got everywhere! Such a shame with the patterns as the rest is so lovely.

I agree with you also Maddie on the box, I wasn’t that pleased with it. I love the cherish pink and white ball of yarn and accessories, I wasn’t that keen on the wooden box to be honest. I thought this was my last box with crochet society but have 2 more boxes to go 😃 My boxes are piling up and I’m not getting around to doing them so thought I better stop the subscription. I hope your packing up is going well for you xx 🤗💐

I feel the same way about all the boxes piling up. I started combining the box contents so they took up less room but there are still so many... with the move it's definitely time to cancel and continue with my TOFT subscriptions as I've been working those up, even if I'm a little behind, I am at least interested in making them and don't have to make a choice between projects 😁

Thank you so much Maria, I really do look forward to them so I'm excited each month, sadly the Crochet Society ones haven't made me excited since box 42 and 43, (the big pink flowers and the Rosina Plane boxes) I like to think that once I'm settled in my craft room, I'll set about working each of them up and being able to share them a little more on the channel too.
