@Soffity4 жыл бұрын
@@DebiDearest you did such a good job with the video. Ok a couple of dc you called front post dc but it was obvious what you meant. I take my hat off to anyone who can design, I’ve been trying for years and never end up with a flat fabric. I can do very basic design but as soon as I try something like you do the stitch count goes haywire and it is a mess. I live in rural Australia so the internet is a godsend.
@DebiDearest4 жыл бұрын
@@Soffity I think that’s been the most challenging part. This one does pucker a little in the middle but can be blocked to lay flat. My new design I’ve gotten better at being consistent. I think the main thing is stick to a repeat number. I usually do 8, I’m trying 12 this time. Add one stitch to each repeat as you make it grow. Hope that helps maybe. ❣️
@Soffity3 жыл бұрын
@@DebiDearest thank you so very much, you’re the first designer to reply and give me any help so I really appreciate it. I am so grateful to you for your time and your lovely designs. How do you add a stitch count when you have so many bobbles and popcorns etc etc. How do you know which equals what. I’m not expecting you to answer but how did you work all that out, to me it’s the worst maths test of all time with the most beautiful result. We all have our fortes and design is one of yours, ♥️🇦🇺

Btw I’ve purchased the pattern so looking forward to making it, I don’t have any Aran weight as it’s not a common yarn here in Australia so I’ll be making it in DK with a 4mm hook, so wish me luck, won’t be as large of course.
