I am so glad you managed to make the blanket. As for color change you can refer this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppumlaR3fdiCqas at about 8.24 and 12.43 where I have shown two ways to change the color. There are other ways also, but you can try these methods also. Hope it will be useful.

I'm very excited to use this tutorial. Was wondering what difference it would make if I used 8 ply cotton?
@HopefulTurns4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, as for the yarn, if the 8ply is thicker and recommends a larger hook size, then shape will remain the same and you will have a bigger sized star blanket.

i need help! i keep getting only four corners/points. why??
@bauhaus_batАй бұрын
this is super late lol but you might be skipping too many stitches when making the points! its pretty hard to see when using smaller gauges, but if you pull back the last 3 dc in a point there might be a little stitch hidden under it :)

If i’ll use 3mm crochet hook will it make a big different? I mean, will it be too small?

No, it will not make a big difference, it will be slightly smaller. You can add more rows to make it bigger.
