Speaking from experience, yes! However, the size of the base, and the pieces inside (the love letter, etc.) may vary based on hook size and the weight of your yarn. Thicker yarn would require less chains if you were to stick with 6"

I love this case but I’m having trouble because I’m not using the same exact yarn or type of yarn and it’s also I think bigger than yours but did you size down in your hook for the yarn Also when I did this project it was not proportional properly and ur wade one aside curving upwards also if it ok can you make a pattern of this I think I could get a better understanding way better as long as it’s specific
