Love your room, so cozy! We got about 6 inches of snow here in West Virginia so far. I generally hate snow, but my boss told everyone to stay home today, so I get to sit in my sunroom and crochet with the heavy blanket of snow covering everything in sight! My cats are glued to the windows, amazed by the snow, and they can see the birds outside even better! Love your videos!

Love the craft room, it’s so you! I would love to see the rest of the house once you’re settled in. You’re “tangent” on the new year made me cry (I have been putting a lot of pressure on myself to do better and it’s also my time of the month so the tear count is definitely high🤪) My word for the year is “awareness” instead of a bunch of specific goals I have different mindsets I want to bring. Being aware of my mind and how I’m feeling. Being aware of what my body is telling me. Being aware of what I’m eating, and being aware of how I’m speaking and how others are feeling. I hope you have a great year and I’m looking forward to see everything you do this year!

I love your new patterns and I can't wait to make all these birds with their accessories. Your tapestry is absolutely magical. My word for 2025 is self-healing. Because of my illness 2.5 years ago, I lost pretty much everything I had built up despite Asperger's syndrome. But crocheting helped me regain my confidence in myself. And hey, I'm going to markets with my plushies again.

Instead of getting a physical frame for the tapestry, you could just crochet a shell border on the outside! That’s what I do when I wanna frame my tapestries 🥰

I love your room! I don’t like overhead lights, either, except when extra light is absolutely needed. I wear glasses, too, and the overhead light always seems to reflect on them. 😊 And I know what you mean about the new oven. Never cared until we bought our house. It's so nice seeing you all getting settled into your new home! I hope you're enjoying the change to the cold weather. I'm just across the border from Buffalo - and they get nailed with snow a lot too! Loving the longer chatty videos coming back too. As far as frames for your tapestry - sometimes just a good dowel on the top and bottom can really finish it off really nice. Then a simple chain or strand of yarn can be tied to that - which makes it really simple to hang. That chair is absolutely adorable for the plushies!!! I love your theory of just picking a word for the year. I think mine is going to be focus. It may be focusing on different things throughout the year, but taking the time to focus and not feel so scattered and yet paralyzed, if that makes sense.

Adorable goose! Wow your tapestry turned out amazing! I’ve never done new year resolutions, like you it’s kinda weird just cause the calendar changes. I typically spend time reflecting around my Aug birthday cause that makes more sense to me & more personal. But I do like the idea of a word! So my word this year is grace. For myself & others in areas of expectations. No snow in Ft Worth, but t super cold & windy! All 4 dogs are on the sofa with me under blankets asleep, so it must be a crochet day! Did you get hard there? My youngest is in Chicago (he’s actually operation mgr for Midway); he said it’s been A MESS at the airport but not too much snow, but ice (& delays, of course). I like tapestry work, but I learned the hard way that if you’re left-handed (I am), you have to reverse the pattern or it comes out backwards which definitely matters if there are words. 😂

My word for the year is "surrender" (stop trying to control things I can't control anyway!). For a community project idea, we could all create a square of a certain size and send them in. Depending on how many you get, local folks can put them together and they can be blankets donated to a local shelter or woman's shelter or something like that...
