Thank you so much for your tutorial! I made this sweater for myself last year and I got to wear it for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I got so many compliments on it, and I was so proud to be able to make my first sweater! I changed the colors and had to tweak a few things in the neckline to accommodate my size, but otherwise I followed your pattern and found it to be very easy! I wish I could share a picture with you! I am now working on my second sweater, same pattern but one solid color in a very soft forest green 😊. I finally figured out how to make a "traditional" granny square without color changes or weird gaps, so I am excited that I don't have to weave in a bunch of yarn tails this time around! 😂

I had made very simple scarves and hats. Nothing larger than that and I only know chain, single and double crochet stitches. I made this sweater in 9 days and my daughter really likes it! I bought the pattern book on Etsy and can’t wait to start the next project. Thank you! 🙏 🤗💕

Love this pattern! Have crocheted for almost 50 years. Only made 1 sweater in all this time,and it was a ladies large, but turned out to be a 3X. Oops! Have been too intimidated to try again. Thank you for the lovely pattern. I also like the new sweater jacket pattern, too!

Thanks for stopping by. I was intimated by clothes also. Then I realized that sweaters are much easier to make than i thought. they are just squares and rectangles put together.

I agree Vicky, I just found this channel and sweater a few days ago and knew I will be making this because of it not being boxy and traditional in looking like a granny square. It shows off curves for no matter what size we are.

Gorgeous!!! I love the colors you chose especially that light teal color. So feminine looking!!! Your so talented and I would love to learn how to design patterns! I also love Caron simply soft yarn, love the sheen it has! Once you get past the splitting not a bad yarn at all!
@LittlejohnsYarn6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I know it splits sooooo bad, but it works up beautifully. (for similar price) Red Heart Soft has a close luster, splits less and is a little plumper. The luster isn't as good though

Thank the LORD! LOL! A WOMAN WITH REAL CURVES MAKING BEAUTIFUL WORK. Didn't bother some months ago when I searched and saw teeny tops for tiny girls. A question--as a pale sister (glow in the dark pale!) I ve course type 3b curls and ALL of the hats, berets etc on sale in shops and tutorials online I cannot get on my head. Far far too small. Even the xtra LG ones in our Highland tartan weaved store. For men! I assume this isn't an issue for myself alone. Sorry if you have one I ve just come across your wonderful video in my watch later library. I ll research and subscribe when I get more time. Love and light from Dingwall 🏴✌️♥️🙏

This top came out beautiful and it’s such an easy pattern to follow along with you. Thank you. Now, how would you change it to an extra large? Do you just keep going until it fits from side to side and then for the arms until it fits around the arm comfortably ( my upper arms are kinda big around)
@LittlejohnsYarn5 жыл бұрын
Correct, thats exactly how I do it. Measure the fullest part of your chest then divide by two. Add 1/2 of an inch so it not tight . This will be the size of one of your panels
@helencherry91336 жыл бұрын
I've been busy knitting for charity for most of this year, this video has inspired me to dig out my hooks & make something for me now! Love the tips for crocheting in the ends @ the beginning. Question though, I plan on making this all in 1 solid color, for the sleeves, how would I do the panel?Was planning on trying to go back and forth in "pattern", would that work?
@TreNuvole6 жыл бұрын
Hey Helen, I also have been crocheting for charity. I've been making shawls and lapghans for the cancer wing of my local hospitals....so fulfilling! But, to answer your question, I just completed this pullover in a complete solid throughout, I just followed her pattern without changing the yarn. It came out lovely, the granny square is not at all as distinct but, very pretty just the same. Hope this helps! ♥ dd
@LittlejohnsYarn6 жыл бұрын
Sorry so slow to respond. for the sleeve, just crochet in the normal "S" pattern instead of starting a new row. just ch 3 turn and place 3 dc in the ch-1 space
@heatherstorm78973 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am on the home stretch of completion in making the arms. My arms are wider than the video. Do you have a formula of how many more to add to the chain so the clusters come out evenly at the end? Thank you again!
