I have never seen lover's knot done on chunky yarn. I used to love this Stitch when I was crocheting years ago but I always was so overly cautious to use smaller yarn. It looks incredibly cool with the chunky! I need to try this. I learned from a book, so I have been starting all my projects with this stitch with a single crochet or half double crochet and adding the knots starting on row 2. I love the way you go right into the stitch.

I think this will be perfect for a project I have had in the back of my mind. I have been thinking of doing a 'net-like' item and connect it to the ceiling in a few areas and use it as a catch for some of my skeins of yarn. Get them off the floor baskets. Might work for my small space. I'll let you know. Thanks for the tutorial!!

That is really a beautiful stitch. My daughter has a dress and complained that it is kind of short. So instead of buying a lace, i put the solomon's knot because it is lacy and the dress looks lovelier. Doing that stitch as you have shown making a shawl using lightweight yarns would be a torture. But....the satisfaction would be great because the result would be very lovely indeed!!
@JocelynMartinez-oc5gj Жыл бұрын
If i had won that give away, i would have loved trying that solomon's knot in that lace weight purple hank. Well, i can still try it and will let you know for sure as appreciation for your tutorial. Thank you Crystal for being generous in giving us free tutorials.
