Thanks for such a great pattern!! Since Kamala means lotus in Sanskrit, I am making a bunch of these in yellow, white, light blue, dark blue (only the first 4 rounds to keep as a flower) and will be giving them out with notes on how to register, #voteblue, etc

If you want the joins not to be obvious, the best way is to do it with a needle and not with the crochet. Crochet joins typically make a sort of ridge. But in some cases that may be pretty as well. Your choice.
