I just made one of these granny square hoods after seeing Paula’s video too! I modified the pattern and made the hood with 4 slightly smaller squares instead of 2 big ones so I wouldn't have that point in the back. Love the colors you picked!

I love listening to audiobooks while I crochet - especially mysteries that aren't super involved? Sometimes I put on a cozy British mystery series that I've seen before so I don't have to pay super close attention. Also I love the hood - reminded me of the snow baby book of the kid in the red onesie! But in a good way! lol.

I like listening to the radio. I’ve made animals for all the great grandchildren, then I made dolls . Latest things were beanie hats for the winter. I’m having a break from crocheting at the moment.

I own two of this Sezane cardigan (I used to work in their Parisian offices) and I can tell you, that you did an amazing job with this project. It's amazing and I'm tempted to make one myself. I was actually knitting while watching your video :) I'm usually watching Twitch, KZbin or a tv show whenever I'm crocheting or knitting.

omg stop when you mentioned the hood/scarf combo i scREAMED!!! I love your colour combo, I definitely think the join-as-you-go method prevents the back of the hood from being so pointy and instead allows it to fall more flat and relaxed. but it honestly looks so cute on you! also love your office space!

Loved this video! For your videos to watch while you crochet question: if I'm not watching youtube videos, i love a good nature or science documentary! The structure of them usually helps me stay focused on the project. It also helps me feel like im learning something which just makes me feel even more productive. Maybe try it out if its your vibe.

Yes, I would make mittens. I check on AccuWeather for the monthly forecast. Here in NW PA, we are still getting cold weather. I walk my dog several times a day in the woods, so I wear Dollar Tree knitted gloves with crocheted mittens over that. It seems perfect. Last year I made pretty crocheted cotton tops to go with capri pants. I may make more. I plan to make a summer cardigan to wear over my tees in the grocery store. When it's hot outside, it's freezing in there. I also watch averp. I did not know her real name was Paula either. Currently I'm making a beach bag for my daughter. I haven't made any bags, because I prefer to make wearables, like your sweater. IT IS GORGEOUS! Blue is my favorite color. I watch or listen to KZbin when I crochet, unless I have to do a lot of counting. I watch other creators,(not always crochet), and I listen to Christian content so I can be learning also. I like the hooded scarf you made. I don't know if a tassel or pom pom would help disguise the point you don't like. Personally, I think the point is fine.

to disinfluence you, the LL bean tote is so stiff that the straps fall off so much and arent even comfy! Also minus points for no zipper. I foudn one on etsy that i love and had a cuter font too!
