Thanks once again for the terrific videos. I'm off to buy yarn to make an afghan like this for my hubby for Christmas! Wouldn't have been able to do it without your help! Thank you so much for going to the time and effort to add these lessons here!

I can tell you that I did a lapghan with 10 cabled sections and 70 rows. Before cabling the ladder, it was about 60". After it was 44 1/2" wide. Does that help? Of course, the hook and yarn you use will make a difference.

That would depend on what size hook you're using and the weight of your yarn. However, if you see it's not as long as you want it to be, just add more rows before you start working your ladder cables.

Yes, that helps a lot! I have decided to go about 80 rows instead of 120. Im already at 50 rows. 30 more rows to go!

I dont know why I havent subbed to you or where you've been all of my crocheting career! Your awesome! About how much does this shrink up when you do the ladder and how many rows did you do? I was aiming for around 120 cause I wanted a nice size blanket for the winter. Mine is a WIP.

Thats great. So mine should be about 50"? Not bad. I cant wait to finish! Thank You for inspiring me to do it because every time I sit down to do an afghan or something big, I never finish.
