Crocheting a Hand Bag or Tote from Granny Squares

You can make any Granny Square design into a tote bag. Just add the side/bottom panel and crochet the handle. The color yarns make it look more complicated, but it is actually simple to make. You can adjust it to any size you like. I used cotton yarn, so it is very sturdy.
Optionally, sew a fabric liner to make it less see-through. Hand sewing is fine for this size project. Any scrap cotton fabric will work well.
