I just found your videos a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed them. I have been knittingbfor over 20 years and discovered amigurumi a few years ago and learned to crochet. I only like crocheting amigurumi, everything else I love to knit. We are not Christian but we still spend Christmas as a family and lov we to have special meals together and love buying and making gifts for each other. We celebrate solstice and burn a yule log and all the fun. But even though my one and only child is 20 years old Santa still comes to our house and we get up early. Christmas morning to open gifts. Oh I forgot to mention I am from the USA and I live in Oklahoma. I am a history teacher and adjunct history professor so I love to share history around this time of year and how other countries and cultures celebrate. I also love the history of knitting and crochet.

That is so cool to hear! Yeah actually I am an atheist but I just love having some Cultural Traditions. For me, christmas is about having a Calm and Cozy time with Lots of love. Sometimes I Even forget that it’s Origin comesnfrom Religion 😬😬🫨

I am from Argentina and here the holidays are somewhat different because it is very very hot so our Christmas is not very cozy but in general we open the presents that same night after midnight and we usually eat asado (barbecue), choripan (chorizo with bread) ​​and a lot of russian salad, all of this is very tasty! PD: love your videos and your patterns are soo cute❤

the swater is beautiful.... how many skeins did it take and what size hook did you use?

Ummmm I don’t know exactly anymore I think about 6 skeins maybe? For hooks I used 9mm and 4.5 mm :) Everything is also included in the Pattern 🥰

Hi Janina! Your videos always inspire me! I’m still pretty new to crocheting and I have never made a wearable item yet! That sweater is adorable! ❤ I’m from the U.S and my family gets together on Christmas Eve for dinner and then again on Christmas Day to exchange gifts and have another dinner/ spend time together! 😊That’s awesome that you have the next 2 days off! Is that everywhere in Germany? Or did you just request off work? It’s back to work in the U.S (at least for me) the day after Christmas (26th)

Awww thats Sounds so cool though! Yeah the whole Country has Holidays on 25th and 26th the 24th is half Day Off for everyone as we’ll as the 31st. Also we have public holidays on Jan 6th, Apr 18th, 21st, May 1st, 29th, Jun 19th, Oct 3rd, Nov 1st :) So 12 public holidays for everybody in Germany Access to mostly 30 vacation days we all get each year 🥰🤍
